Review of Suba Star Hotel: A Disappointing Experience
I recently had a deeply disappointing experience at Hotel Suba Star that left a lasting impression for all the wrong reasons. Despite having a confirmed booking through MakeMyTrip, I was refused a room due to a mere 500 INR difference between the MakeMyTrip rate and the hotel's rate. This situation was not only frustrating but also completely unacceptable.
Upon arrival, I was informed by the reception that they would not honor my booking because of the price discrepancy. I spent an exhausting 1.5 hours trying to resolve the issue between the hotel and MakeMyTrip, yet received no assistance from the hotel's management. The General Manager, Ashfaque Khan, saw me—a solo female traveler—struggling with this predicament but did nothing to help. His indifference to my situation was both surprising and disappointing.
When I expressed my intention to write about this negative experience, Mr. Khan bluntly stated that he would not provide a room if I left a bad review. Furthermore, when I requested his name, he refused to give it, as did the receptionist, which only highlighted their greater concern for avoiding a bad review than for being helpful and considerate towards guests.
Given their behavior, I felt unsafe staying at the hotel and immediately contacted MakeMyTrip, who swiftly booked me a room at the Pride Plaza Hotel. The difference in service was astounding, with Pride Plaza offering a much more welcoming and professional environment than Suba Star.
Overall, this experience was incredibly disappointing, especially after a long and tiring 16-hour workday. The least I expected was a smooth check-in process and courteous service. Unfortunately, Suba Star failed on all counts. I will not be returning to Suba Star in any city, as their management has clearly failed in training their employees in customer service.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed. Hotel staff not good, arguing on everything asked in room, rooms are so bad and no cleanliness at all, they don't change bedsheets etc after someone checks out, washroom not cleaned when I checked in, they lost my 2800 rupee clothes when I provided clothes for laundry, cockroaches are roaming in rooms, towels are to be asked every day coz they don't put towels on their own, refrigerator not working, towels are torn, having lot of holes, very much used and old towels, they don't fill toiletries on their own everytime I had to ask for soap, toothpaste etc...only food and restaurant division was good, nice service by waiters in restaurant....hotel is having guests because of location only, otherwise the service they provide and staff guys, receptionist, manager are really pathetic and misbehaving to guests.....and the biggest thing is they are reluctant to feedback.. don't even listen to guest carefully, and staff attitude to bhai bahot hai .....never ever book this hotel of you want pleasant stay in Ahemdabad........

we did advanced booking thru Wuba astar Vadodara and got the commitment as it has the same rather good structure and service.
When we checked in, we saw rooms were very very small l. You cannot even walk thru. Management staff was very rude when we asked about upgradation and when we spoke about services we got qt Suba Star Elite Vadodara.
At the point of check in, they has insisted rather commanded us to pay half amount. We said we are ready to pay the full amount in advance but before that we want to have a look. It didn't make any difference to them after cancellation of 4 room booking on the spot.
