Riverside Luxury
This place is almost like a sanctuary - and a bubble that secludes you from the chaos and commotion of the town - thanks to the fine hospitality and luxury elements it comes with. From the minute you step in, you will feel like you are in a haven of comfort and sophistication. Plush furnishings, and modern amenities, combined with lovely views of the Tapi River make this an unbeatable choice in the city, though it is a bit more expensive than other high-end options like Park Inn.
LOCATION: Great location by the Tapi River and easy access to the airport.
DINE + DRINK: Multiple F & B options on site. The executive lounge (that Elite members have access to) comes loaded with goodies you can treat yourself to during happy hours in the evening. The breakfast is certainly not to be missed as it is a mind-blowing lavish spread of local, regional, and international cuisines. Almost every item we sampled tasted authentic and chef-prepared. Undeniably the highlight of our stay.
ROOM: We stayed in Room 724, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Lovely view of the TAPI river and the greenery beyond; AIR-CON: This was one downside, as the room never got cooled enough to the optimal temperature!; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM: Swanky bathroom with a nice Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Excellent spa-quality toiletries by HERBALIST brand.
FACILITIES: While the gym is oddly located in a windowless basement, it is decent enough for a good workout and comes with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines. The outdoor swimming pool is good too. They also have a nice spa on site.
SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of.
HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! HUGE Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in...
Read moreI really set my foot on bad note on arrival. I came Surat just for few hours so I searched the options for early check in and same day check out. I called on Mariott's reservation number to know if they allow early check in. The guy who responded the phone told me that rooms are available and told me package price along with breakfast and early check in facility. I asked him to send me the mail mentioning all of these and payment link. I got mail in few minutes however there was not mention about my early check in and check out time. I again asked on mail to mention this and then to send me payment link. they sent me payment link and I did the payment. But when I was checking in the reception people have got no information about this. there was no communication between reservation team and hotel reception. I requested for early check in and told them that I would check out on same day. They let me in and told me that breakfast was complimentary(Guy name was Bala ji). He did not told me anything regarding the fact that this complimentary breakfast was for tomorrow which anyway I could not have coz I was checking out on same day. I did my breakfast then the reception guy told me that complimentary breakfast was for tomorrow knowing very very well that I was leaving today itself. Anyway I did not want to escalate this just for a breakfast. But then they called upon in my room repeatedly for the same which annoyed me and that is why I am writing this review. If I compare this with Taj hospitality Mariott scores zero. And unfortunately I am Mariott Bonvoy member also. Still they did not consider any of these.By the way food was average and I am not saying it's average just bcoz I had bad experience. It is really an...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at the Marriott Hotel in Surat, and it was a truly exceptional experience. The breakfast spread was one of the best I've encountered, offering a perfect blend of local and international cuisine.
The variety was impressive, with a wide selection of dishes to suit every taste. From freshly baked pastries and bread to a colorful assortment of fruits and salads, the options were endless. The live cooking stations were a highlight, where chefs prepared made-to-order omelets, pancakes, and waffles. It was delightful to watch them skillfully craft each dish to perfection.
The quality of the food was outstanding. Each item was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the Indian breakfast options, including dosas, idlis, and a variety of chutneys, which were authentic and delicious. The Western breakfast items, such as bacon, sausages, and hash browns, were equally satisfying.
The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. They were quick to refill beverages and address any requests, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, providing a relaxing environment to start the day. The attention to detail in both the food and service made for a memorable breakfast experience.
