From the moment you step into The Roasted Bean, it’s clear that this café is more than just a place to grab a quick cup of coffee. It’s an experience. Nestled in the heart of the city, it combines modern sensibilities with a rustic charm, creating a welcoming environment that draws in both regulars and newcomers alike.
Ambiance (5/5) Walking in, the first thing that strikes you is the unique, cozy atmosphere. Exposed brick walls and wooden beams give the space a warm, lived-in feel, while large windows let in natural light, filling the room with a soft glow. The furnishings are a mix of industrial-style tables and chairs, with plush seating arrangements for those who wish to linger. Soft jazz music plays in the background, setting the tone for a relaxing visit. The air is filled with the mouth-watering scent of freshly ground coffee beans, inviting you to take a deep breath and unwind.
The café is divided into two main sections: a bustling area near the counter and a quieter, more intimate backroom with low lighting and comfortable armchairs. Whether you’re here for a quick coffee to go or an afternoon spent with a good book, the Roasted Bean offers a space for every mood.
Coffee and Beverages (5/5) As a café, the most important aspect is, of course, the coffee. The Roasted Bean does not disappoint. The selection of coffees is impressive, featuring beans sourced from ethical farms around the world. Each cup is brewed to perfection, with baristas that seem to be as passionate about coffee as they are skilled in its preparation.
The espresso here is rich and bold, with a smooth finish that doesn’t have the overpowering bitterness you sometimes get at lesser cafés. The cappuccinos are airy, with a velvety texture that is simply delightful. For those who prefer their coffee on the sweeter side, the caramel latte is a favorite, with just the right balance of sweetness and espresso flavor.
What stands out is their seasonal specialty drinks. The pumpkin spice latte during autumn is a fan favorite, and their summer iced coffee options, such as the iced oat milk latte, are refreshingly light without sacrificing taste. The café also caters to non-coffee drinkers with an excellent selection of teas, hot chocolates, and freshly squeezed juices.
Food (4/5) The Roasted Bean takes its food menu just as seriously as its drinks. Offering a selection of pastries, sandwiches, and light bites, there’s something for everyone. The pastries, sourced from a local bakery, are consistently fresh and delicious. The almond croissant is flaky and buttery, while the chocolate chip scone is the perfect blend of sweet and savory.
For those looking for a heartier meal, the avocado toast is a must-try. Served on a slice of sourdough, it’s topped with ripe avocado, a sprinkle of chili flakes, and a drizzle of olive oil. The combination is simple yet flavorful, making it a perfect light lunch option. The smoked salmon bagel is also a standout—crispy, fresh, and generously layered with cream cheese and smoked salmon.
While the food is undoubtedly good, there’s room for improvement. Some of the sandwiches could use a bit more flavor, and a wider variety of vegetarian options would be appreciated. Nonetheless, The Roasted Bean’s food offerings are satisfying, and they pair wonderfully with...
Read moreI give it to them for creating a nice interior and ambience. But the staff is arrogant and uninviting. If I go to out to eat, the overall vibe shouldn’t be cold. But warm and inviting, which wasn’t the case here.
If you don’t like their food and you tell them they will not take it nicely and pass judgemental looks.
So anytime at k’s. Here is my review. We are allowed to not like your food and you cannot make someone feel bad just because we didn’t like it. The price that you charge for your food, other places charge an equal amount with better quality and a generous portion size. Also they do it with inviting attitudes.
Staff is so cold with their attitude as if we are stealing from them when we are actually the ones paying and that too handsomely. The owner should look into who is being employed and check their attitudes before letting them serve people. So disappointed. It’s a shame because the location is beautiful and it has been made ugly by the people there.
Beverages they serve are decent.
If you are looking for a nice place there are so many better places in Surat which are happy to serve you in a great way. The experience matters. And if you cannot give us that. People of Surat are ready to pay extra and can take their...
Read moreRecently I have been loving my time at K’s. But the experience tonight made me feel not to go back again. Extremely poor service and unapologetic senior staff.
What was good — Awesome peach ice tea Great green tea Normally drinks are always good and food is good as well.
What was Bad — Cold brew with ginger ale felt like cold water(there was no flavour of ginger ale and coffee), upon requesting for correction, I was pointed out that this how it’s suppose to be but still I asked for adding some coffee, then the way the guy replied as if he was saying “ohh you don’t know how it’s suppose to be and don’t tell us what needs to be done” so I preferred to keep the drink as it was and ordered iced americano.
Tender coconut was served in a coconut which felt good but table being wobbly and no base to the coconut , entire drink spilled. Still that is ok but the staff was unapologetic and didn’t even care to respond to issue when we pointed out the problem and suggested should be served with a stand. Note - We didn’t ask for a new drink.
In effect we felt as if let’s just finish our drink and...
