Jani Locha House is a go‑to spot for Surat’s iconic Surti Locho—a steamed, gram‑flour farsan known for its moist, “loose” texture. This local snack was born from a kitchen blunder and has since become a regional specialty.
Operating from early morning until evening, the place is busy catching the breakfast-to-snack crowd . As a specialized fast-food joint, it focuses on farsan delights—no full meals, just quick, satisfying bites.
🔥 Best‑selling items:
Butter Locho: Steamed locho generously dressed with butter, sev, spices, and chaat masala—its creamy richness makes it a top seller.
Lasan (Garlic) Cheese Locho: A flavourful treat layered with cheese and garlic, offering a punchier twist—extremely popular among spice lovers.
Vagharela Khaman: Seasoned khaman (a firmer cousin of locho) with tempering on top—also marked as a bestseller.
☕ What foodies love:
Expect a hearty, veggie-only snack experience—freshly made farsans with bold toppings. The stand-up service, takeaway culture, and ₹40–₹130 per‑plate pricing make it perfect for a quick, flavour-packed street-food fix .
In short, if you want a true taste of Surat’s fast-food culture, the buttery and garlic‑cheese Lochos are must-tries—and these classics shine brightest at Jani...
