The Plaza Solitaire Hotel — Hotel in Gurugram District

We went to The Plaza Solitaire based in Sec 14 Gurgaon as a resting place post our over drinking party.||For startes, you really cant expect much from a hotel which negotiated the room tarrif to 1050/- for a double bed for 3 pax.||Well yes, that's the lowest price we could get a room for in that area so thats the only USP.||The room.||Its was a small 10*12 ft room. They had a cubbord and 21 inch television with cable. The remote was missing. ||Considering the delhi winters they had provided a heater in the room. The paint from the walls was peeling off.||The Bedsheet were washed but had stains on it.||||The Loo||The attached bathroom had running water. No choice of hot and cold.||The toilet rolls were missing.||They did have a towel.||They had a hamam soap on the basin.||||Food||Post the visual appeal of the room, we did not want to risk experimenting on the food. Though the menu boased India, Chinese and Some Continental dishes. We stuck to the one where even the Chef's here would have had to try hard to get the recepie wrong.||We orderd, Dal Makhani , Naan and Butter Chicken.||On the above I would rate the tase of the food a decent 7/10 . Yes It did surprise me but the food was good.||||Over all, No, its not a place you would go out of choice, may be some other compulsion might force you...

We were meant to stay at this hotel for 2 nights prior to leaving for a friend's wedding in Northern India. I took one look at the room and immediately started looking for another place to stay. The bathroom had roaches, there were mothballs in the sink and the sheets and blanket were filthy. It was disgusting! Also, it was incredibly loud; there was no way i was getting a good night sleep there. We left within an hour and found a much better hotel in the area. I will never go back there, not even...

The photo posted on the booking sites for the hotel is thoroughly misleading. It is a fake photograph to get the attention of the traveller. I was shocked by seeing the hotel with cleanliness and hospitality being the last 2 words in that place. The rooms are smelly, the sheets and pillows are dirty. I still do not know how I made it till the morning in the 10 degree cold of delhi with a heater which did not work. PLEASE DO NOT...
