Being an avid traveller, I am often surprised by the way the luxury trends and the whole concept of luxury have changed in the last decade. The old and the young have started experimenting with the concept of travelling and adding new places and making memories along the way. This hotel deserves a special mention on my list. This city has been my ancestral hometown and we often come back to the city to meet friends and family. I was simply taken aback by what this hotel has to offer. After a day of hectic business commitments, I wanted to unwind at a place where I can be assured of good services and ambience and I was amazed by what this beautiful property has to offer.

The restaurant Neptune is located on the 7th floor and I am assuming it's a rooftop venue for all day dining and serves as a bar as well. The space is uber luxurious with all the facilities one can imagine in a 5 star hotel. The restaurant, in my opinion, can easily accommodate a decent crowd and the icing on the cake is the alfresco dining area adjoined with the coffee shop. This place also serves as an extension to the bar in the evening post 1800 hrs as informed by the waiter.

Location: The location is easily accessible and the hotel is adjacent to the Walkway Mall with a separate entrance and exit.

Parking: Free valet parking is available. I had given my car at the valet and it was properly driven and parked safely within the vicinity of the hotel. The valet was well groomed and well spoken and polite. The best part was these valets have been assigned uniforms by the hotel management which is a plus. Also, they will assign you a valet tag when they collect your car keys.

Lobby: The lobby is decent with a warm and presentable front desk and welcoming drinks refreshment counter. However, for bigger groups this may be inadequate. I hope the management has suitable alternative arrangements in place for handling busier groups, especially weddings and conferences where one can expect heavy volume of luggage transfers.

Bell Desk: Porter service is available and the luggage will be delivered to your room.

Zodiac All Day Dining: The restaurant is beautifully set up with a modern theme and serves variety of offerings listed on its menu. This is the hotel's breakfast venue as well and serves as an all day dining. In-house guests with breakfast plans are served choice of breakfast buffet at this designated venue. Non-resident guests may also avail this breakfast at an additional cost.

This restaurant also has an ala carte menu and caters to all sections of popular cuisines one can imagine.

Neptune Bar & Lounge: This is indeed the best bar offering in the city. The prices are indicative of the luxury quotient this place has to offer. The bar has been designed within the all day dining. However, the unique selling point of this bar has always been the extended al fresco area which serves as an extension in the evenings and can easily host private parties and can accommodate decent number of guests.

Service Experience: I accidentally stumbled upon this place. After finishing my business meetings nearby, I invited some of my close friends over for some food and drinks. However, due to heavy rains, the plans were cancelled and I ended up as the only person in the restaurant. However, I wasn't disappointed. The service was prompt and it had an extended beverage menu listing prices suited to the place and the luxury quotient it has to offer.

Service charge: It does collect service charge from its guests which in my opinion is an individual choice. They need to mention this clearly to all its patrons and guests to avoid any disputes at the time of billing. It is indicated as STAFF CHARGES on your itemized bill.

Overall experience: I would totally love to come back to this place if I ever come back to this city. I would absolutely return to this place with friends and family without a single hesitation in my mind. This place needs to be recognised more by...
