A splendid location with a gorgeous private beach, a very well-maintained property with attractive landscaping, outdoor pool and sundeck, courteous, friendly and helpful staff, sumptuous food and beverage options… Coral Reef Hotel/Resort checks off everything that is required to make a memorable vacation.
From the minute you set foot on this balmy and breezy resort in Havelock, Andaman, you are in for pampering. The check-in and check-out process is a breeze that happens while you are sipping and enjoying a refreshing welcome drink. The staff at the reception are a pro at this, and together with the F&B team who deliver your welcome drink, they have mastered the art of customer satisfaction.
The rooms are all wood and well-appointed, giving off very positive, cozy holiday vibes. The resort has very good WiFi connectivity not just in the reception but also in the rooms, pool area and near the private beach too.
The private beach is gorgeous – crystal clear, azure blue waters and soft white sands. There are boats docked on the beach which only add to the scenic beauty of the beach and make for awesome photographs.
An evening by the poolside is a not-to-be-missed experience. There are ample and a variety of seating options for people of all age groups to chill by the pool. The attractively-lit pool and the ambience around it is perfect to unwind and relax, while enjoying a choice of food and beverage from the menu.
Buffet breakfast is a decent spread comprising continental cuisine as well as north and south Indian dishes. For health-conscious people, there is detox water, fresh fruit juice and a choice of seasonal fresh fruits.
Room service is prompt and the food is good. We tried Indian, American and Chinese cuisines and all of them were tasty and well-prepared. Hats off to the chef.
All in all, a great place to stay in Havelock. I would definitely recommend Coral Reef Hotel/Resort to anyone planning a stay in Havelock, Andaman.
Special mention to Lidia, Sourav, Jyothi, Bhimsen, Sumit, Tika, Janus, Alicia, Supriti, Srikumar, Ram Narayan and the slightly elderly security person at the gate for their courtesy and hospitality. It made our stay extra special and...

Read moreWe stayed in coral reef havelock for four days and experienced both coral reef and other resort’s services in the near by areas. This review post is aimed to provide input to the management. We felt that coral reef is very clean , compact and very good property but unfortunately missing the life. This in our opinion is due to under staff which appeared harassed most time especially in the restaurant. The restaurant is run by 3-4 guys who r taking the brunt of guests for delays in service due to virtually packed resort. In four days not met a single manager controlling or guiding the staff. It is not a big deal to expect a manager who talks to guests and quench their queries and listen to their grievances. It appeared that it is headless team
We didn’t see any one generally chatting with guest seeking their comfort or their experience. No one is in fact found smiling back at guests apparently due to workload. This is job of mid management in hotel which is not existing.
The other minor but easy to adopt suggestions. The number of channels in tv is less than which we can find in remotest part of India . I wonder why even free channels r not there or channels with Rs 1 per month subscription
There r other penny wise and pound foolish policies. Staff is not willing to replenish even toffee in room except what is kept on first day. I wonder why can’t they presume the guest checked out every day of stay.
Visited many other places for lunch and dinner which r more popularly known to visitors. We found them honestly no great and in fact the pool side bar in coral reef is best in havelock. Mid management to make it happening by talking to guests sitting there, serving them quality food and most importantly in time. Small publicity of the pool side bar to guests only by talking by senior staff in reception May make difference. Some live counters will add attraction. The last but not least is We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend our near and dears and therefore hope top management would take this review in good spirit....
