JK Resort Havelock, Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Swaraj Dweep) — Hotel in Havelock island

Excellent food, reasonably priced!!!

The food at their restaurant is amazing, my husband and I are super foodie, we had researched for places to eat before visiting Havelock, we had decided our lunch and dinners for the 4 days we were at havelock, the evening we reached at havelock, we had our dinner at pano and then our next day lunch at the restaurant at JK resorts and thereafter, our entire plan of eating at different places got completely wiped off.. The food at JK is just excellent, that we did not find the necessity to try any where else, our each meals for the rest of our stay at havelock were at JK, wherein we tried ordering some thing different each time, we had crabs, different varieties of fish cooked in different styles. They give you an option to choose your fish and crabs from their collection for the day. The person who heads the restaurant, literally takes special interest to ensure best quality and taste, and I must say their preparation is incredible, once we had it and we couldn't stop ourselves but landing their to try other things in their menu each time. Each meal that we went their, we never saw the gentleman heading the restaurant sit, he was literally on his toes constantly ensuring customer satisfaction and I think this is precisely why the stand was excellent.

We were staying at a different resort the first day, owing to such good food, we literally shifted to JK resort even for a our stay. Their stays are reasonable, clean and very comfortable. Right across the beach, though it's not bang on the beach, but to be honest that was ok, all that we had to do is cross the road to walk it to the beach, one could treat it like staying at a resort bang on the beach with a room not facing the beach.

However, on the last day we did try our lunch and dinner at different places that were highly rated.. but the sea food and the satisfaction that you feel after eating at JK is simply amazing.

Therefore if you are a foodie and you love sea food, then the restaurant at JK resorts known by "famous Food or famous seafood" ( little confused with the name, but it's bang on the road opposite red snapper and dolphin resort) is the place to be, don't even bother wasting your meals trying out sea food at different places. I had a truly terrible experience at JK Resorts in Havelock Island, and I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here.

The condition of the rooms was extremely poor. The moment we entered, there was an awful smell inside, and the walls looked damp and wet. Basic amenities were completely missing—there was no TV, no geyser for hot water, and not even basic toiletries like bathing soap. For the entire duration of our stay, we faced frequent power cuts. On one night, the electricity was gone for several hours straight. Even after calling the staff multiple times in the morning, only then did they finally switch on the generator.

To make matters worse, there were no coffee or tea sachets in the room, nor even a kettle to heat water. After repeated requests, the staff finally provided a kettle, but it was in such a horrible condition—rusted and unhygienic—that it was impossible to use. Overall, the two days I spent here were nothing less than a nightmare. This was honestly one of the most unpleasant and uncomfortable stays I have ever had in my life. I would strongly recommend that no one book this resort.

The restaurant was another disappointment. While the food tasted fine, the prices were unreasonably high. A single cup of coffee was charged at ₹80, and they were even selling packaged beverages at prices above the printed MRP, which is both unfair and unacceptable.

In short, poor room maintenance, lack of basic facilities, terrible service, and overpriced food made this resort a complete disaster. Please think twice before considering JK Resorts for your stay...

Avoid JK Resort Havelock – Disappointing Stay!

My experience at JK Resort Havelock was extremely disappointing. The room walls were infested with termites, and centipedes were crawling in the bathroom—completely unacceptable for any hotel. To make matters worse, cockroaches were also present in the bathroom, making hygiene a serious concern.

Despite having free breakfast included in the booking, the staff initially denied it. I had to argue just to get what was rightfully included, and when they finally served it, the food was poorly cooked. They didn’t provide dahi with the paratha, claiming they didn’t have any—something unheard of in any decent hotel.

The staff was incredibly lazy and unresponsive. Room service was non-existent, and even simple requests took ages to be fulfilled. The AC control wasn’t with the guest.

One major misleading aspect is that this hotel is not beachside. It is located on the opposite side of the road, so there is no beach access, unlike what some might expect.

Additionally, if you’re booking through Agoda, be extra cautious. The hotel staff told me their laptop had been sent for repair 15 days ago and still wasn’t fixed, leading to booking confirmation issues. I witnessed a family arguing with the management as their Agoda booking wasn’t confirmed, forcing them to find alternative accommodation at the last minute.

Overall, JK Resort Havelock was a nightmare. Poor hygiene, terrible service, false advertising, and an unresponsive staff made this stay a regrettable one. I would strongly advise against...
