We stayed for three nights (18th to 21st October) during Diwali 2025, and our experience at Hotel Gangaur, Jaipur. Nestled in the heart of the city, the hotel offered us a perfect blend of comfort and warmth. We had booked an AC Deluxe room, which was spacious and airy, with large windows letting in plenty of light. The king-size bed was so comfortable that even three adults could sleep with ease. The room had all essential amenities — a small refrigerator and a tea/coffee maker that added to our convenience. The washroom was large, spotless, and equipped with modern fittings. The food was simple, healthy, and truly delicious — just like homemade meals. The rates were reasonable, making the overall stay even more satisfying. Like most government accommodations, the hotel stands on a large property with ample open space and plenty of parking. But what truly made our stay special were the people. The staff of RTDC managing Hotel Gangaur are some of the most dedicated and kind-hearted individuals I’ve ever come across in any government accommodation. Even on Diwali nights, when everyone else was celebrating with their families, these wonderful people kept serving guests with genuine smiles and tireless energy. Their warmth and commitment made us feel cared for, and for that, we’ll always be grateful.

I had been to this place with my students on an exposure visit. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay . The location is excellent, situated in the heart of the city, making it easy to access major tourist attractions. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The staff was polite, helpful, and ensured a smooth check-in and check-out experience. The food served at the hotel restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced, offering a good variety of traditional Rajasthani dishes. The ambience of the hotel reflected a traditional touch with modern amenities. Overall, it was a great value for money and a highly satisfying experience.

Lesser known restaurant, albeit great taste. The staff is very friendly. We've been visiting for years & it feels like home. The Chinese menu is an absolute must. North Indian menu is home style . It's a refreshing change from dhaba like flavours of other eateries. The ambience is simple, though the staff makes up for it in hospitality. Lemon soda is also highly recommended. A negative point is lack of digital mode of payment. There's ample parking space. Over all it works out great for quiet night out.

PATHETIC, DISGRACE IN THE NAME OF HOSPITALITY, A BLOT ON RAJASTHAN TOURISM DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.

Hotel Gangaur needs to be rehauled and the total staff changed along with training new staff on hospitality. Lackadaisical attitudes, unprofessional conversations, and totally casual behaviour with guests.

We pointed out a tea spillage in the area of the buffet breakfast and staff told us - 'Iska abhi kuch nahi kar sakte hein.' We had a water issue in our room and were told "apki jaan pehchan ke kamre mein nahalena" since we were traveling with family members. We requested for a banana milkshake at breakfast for my child to be told "mixer toota hua hai". We asked for the extra blankets in the cupboard to be removed, only to be told " aise hi rehne do na".

The guy at the reception (Sheikh) spoke to us very rudely, as if he is doing a favour to the guest by giving them the key.

The rooms were dusty, the sofa seat was dirty (staff said aise hi hai), sticky telephone console with lot of disturbances on the lines, dirt falling from the fan, fan regulators not working, open switchboard in the room, with visible wiring, mounds of dust on the so called room decor, Dust on lights, dust on thw cupboards, dust, dust, dust shedding everywhere. Broken water closet seat, broken sink, geysers wiring open, dirty bathrooms, low water pressure, could not use hand shower and health faucet and the staff only uses a mop everywhere be it, bathrooms or bedrooms

Cats as pets found roaming around all over the hotel including the kitchens, and cat excreta lying uncleared around the hotel - we had to tell the reception TWICE to have it cleared.

Water supply stopped in the bathroom for almost 4 hours in the morning time, due to which we missed out on a lot of sight seeing. The staff didn't even consider giving us a room change until we suggested and pushed them to do it but then it was a smaller room.

The special finale to our stay was when we tried unplugging our charger and the plug point came out as a whole along with the wires, resulting in a major fire spark, and power cut in our room. The electrician came at his own sweet pace and rectified it after half hour.

My review is categorised under the following experiences :- Room condition - some rooms are renovated and some rooms are still using the old style and I was staying in a wrong room type and I found dirty men's underwear in bathroom so in cleaning they just clean the bed and tables a little bit and dont clean the bathroom and floors properly and even the corridor outside is left with food and not picked up by staff and even the bed had bed bugs on it that I had to clean as they did not do a good job and even had strains on all bed sheet from food items that even after getting them changed stayed so they are using old items for years. Highly unrecommended to stay if you value your health.

Food and Service - the room did not have bathroom essentials and water bottle so had to call to get it in room which should be already given before checking in and even there was no tv in my room and they said tv will come after 5 days as they ordered for it so unfinished rooms are offered to guests here and also the staff is busy playing cricket on the area in hotel instead of taking care of guest need that I saw on our first night so can expect the staff is uneducated and inexperienced and if you paying for lunch and dinner then they will serve you properly and food is fine like any restaurant full of oil but if you got a free breakfast included they serve the same poori sabji and break pakora menu everyday and don't expect even cup for tea and coffee you get a cheap paper cup to drink like staying in a 1 star hotel which this is already after staying here 2 nights is my experience. Never come here even if you have to pay 1000 Rs extra for a night stay in other hotels. Don't be a cheapstake like my family who prefer government places for their...

one day I stayed in January , 23 third week in this hotel . When I entered the room it was not cleaned, old linen was placed which is not removed, dustbin's are filled with waste dumped by the other guests who stayed earlier. Chair provided are having insects and made me horrible skin problem. Nothing is found cleaned, every object in the room is un clean and filthy. ||Bathroom was especially bad. I could see hair etc in the bathrooms . Every bathroom fitting is broken and unable to use. Flush was not working, hand pump is broken, seat itself is having issues, Could see lot of stains in the walls of bathrooms and corners of spitting by eating Paan. The night I couldnt sleep. I never had such horrible experience in my life in any hotel, I have stayed so many Govt Tourism hotel across India and this one was the worst. Syrprisingly, one GM is there for hotel, One Manager is there , So many officials for administration but the up keep is very bad and no one hardly doing anything in that direction. It was amazing to know that there are 40 staff to maintain this small hotel, but inspite everything in vain . ||Next morning when I planned to log out , they did some fine turning and adjust one more day because they were not reimbursing one extra days payment remitted. They assured me everything and tried to console, but I wonder, why they maintain this hotel like this. ||Breakfat was included in the fare, that was the only one good thing, |Breakfast provided in the ground floor canteen was good indeed. I appreciate. ||Apart from this I did not see any good things here. Sorry for this true review. I have to do this to let...
