Kashmir Hilltown — Hotel in Jammu and Kashmir

Hotel Kashmir Hill Town is one of the oldest hotels in Srinagar. It captures the essence of this beautiful city in its true sense. You will find fantastic woodworks (which is the signature style of Srinagar) in the lobby. The passage in the first and second floor shows colourful patterns painted on the ply wood panels attached to the ceiling. The old furniture also reflect the flavour of this city.

Don't come here if you are expecting a 5 star treatment. It's an affordable budget friendly hotel for middle class Indian tourists. The location is convenient, Dal Lake is at a walking distance. There is a large dining space attached to a kitchen. You can cook your own food. It is well suited for the Tour and Travel agencies who conduct tours with 30+ people.

The staff are friendly, amicable and gentlemen. They'll help you through everything. You just have to ask them for particular things, such as water bottles, dust bin, extra pillow or blanket and they will provide everything.

Very very bad experience with this hotel. Disappointing Experience at Hill town Hotel - Unresolved Theft Incident

I stayed at Hill town Hotel in Srinagar, Kashmir, and had a very disappointing experience. During my stay, a sum of ₹15,000 was stolen from my room. I immediately reported the incident to the hotel management and filed a complaint. However, despite several follow-ups, my issue remains unresolved. The staff did not seem to take my complaint seriously,

It's very concerning that such an incident occurred in the hotel, and even more troubling that no action has been taken to resolve it. I expected better service and security, but unfortunately, I did not receive either.
