Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Manipal — Hotel in Karnataka

We stayed as a family of 3-4 for 5 nights. The aim was drop our daughter to Manipal University hostel. The rooms were nice spacious and full of amenities. However the AC was leaking water over wardrobe which the hotel team could not fix and we had to manage with floor mats spread.

The food and the spread was brilliant in all meals. The prices were also very reasonable. Problem comes with service. At breakfast time only Jennifer worked all round to keep everyone happy but no one else was interested. Most of the time the egg counter was empty with no chef there. He comes and goes. Refilling empty containers took them a good while, and tables always had missing items, sometime cutlery or salt and pepper or sugar. At dinner buffet situation was the same with staff least bothered. The change in staff across days was so much that you get puzzled to identify who's who. And they have 4 or 5 types of uniforms and you can't distinguish who has what responsibilities. On Monday when they don't have buffet at dinner the order took more than 50 minutes and the child was so hungry that we had to go out to have dinner. As everyone was passing the ball to another. We asked if atleast papad could be served till then but no one was empathetic. The manager Mr. Michael brought cakes etc to room after that but the damage was done. The staff has a weird training. The overall coordination and effort put in by the staff made hosting this event so effortless for us. The venue’s charm, combined with the excellent service, created the perfect setting for a function filled with joy and laughter.
