The dining experience left much to be desired, as the food fell into the realm of mediocrity. The service, on the other hand, can only be described as passable, lacking any standout qualities. One particular issue arose when it came to the sushi selection, as it took an unreasonable amount of time for the staff to replenish the stock. The appetizers, rather than being readily available at the buffet counter, were inexplicably brought to us by the service, which seemed quite absurd.
Moreover, the drink options were disappointingly limited. Instead of being presented with a range of choices, we were left with no alternative but to inquire about what was available. This lack of proactive communication on the part of the staff was certainly not ideal and did not align with the standard expectations for a dining establishment.
To compound matters, the managers of the establishment went to great lengths to coerce us into providing positive ratings. This overt pressure to manipulate our feedback left us feeling uncomfortable and dissatisfied. It is disheartening when management prioritizes artificial acclaim over genuine customer satisfaction.
In summary, the overall experience at this restaurant failed to meet even basic expectations. The food was unremarkable, the service left much to be desired, and the handling of certain aspects, such as the sushi and appetizers, was puzzling. The limited drink options and the necessity to inquire about them were an inconvenience. Lastly, the inappropriate behavior of the managers, insisting on favorable ratings, further detracted from our experience. This combination of factors painted a picture of a subpar dining establishment that fell far short of the standards one...
Read moreUnnecessary wait at the restaurant to be seated because staff is absolutely confused and the host is lost. Anyways, got a table after unnecessary wait as staff were occupied pretending to be busy with unoccupied tables talking among themselves. They could have made this up by offering good food but waitress straight away said go for the buffet while I insisted for A la Carte and she was upset. Came with one menu and no bar card, was told a la carte will take ages to come. Finally, decided for buffet as already wasted a lot of time waiting. At the buffet plates were missing, fish curry has only curry left and I am not at a roadside dhaba to raise the issue, someone should be looking and refilling which obviously wasn't the case. Finally got some food and no starters in sight, looked around and it was sitting out without any signs or staff guiding there. Bar table was full of used glasses on either side, a first for me. Yeah, food was just ordinary definitely I can get much better food around. One more thing, desserts were disaster too. Virgin Mojito come with lemon seeds, could have asked for a replacement drink but then was done with the overall experience. It was an evening with great expectations spoilt with cold service and...
Read moreI am staying in this hotel while i am writing this review. I have had multiple breakfast buffet, a la carte meals during lunch and dinner time. So this is not a one time experience. I have tried all the cuisines right from indian (north/ south/ manglorean) to Chinese to italian. South indian food in breakfast buffet is something, which is the highlight. Upma was awesome.
Consistency in taste is the key for this restaurant. It always surprised me with the variety they offer. Authenticity of taste and flavour is something i liked a lot.
Drinks are awesome and a must try.
My sincere thanks and compliments to Chef Shiva and particularly to a very cal and refreshing serving staff Mr Rakesh Shetty. I would be disgracing other staff members if i fail to thank them because at the end, its a team work.
Only suggestion is to shorten the time between order and service of food during...
