This was the first time we as a family visited the place and my first experience here as well (Although I did dine at Spindrift with my friends earlier). The ambience was great! The service was exceptional! And the food was also good!

We are not people who eat a lot so the number of items we tried was minimal I would say. Lemon Coriander Soup - 3.5/5. It was good, a bit on the tangy side, so if you don't like the strong lemon flavour I wouldn't recommend this. Mushroom Butter Garlic - 4.5/5. One of the best dishes I had. The flavour was good and on the soft side. There was no explosion just the plain old butter and garlic taste! Something that I really love! Thai Hara Bhara Kabab - 4/5. One of the better Hara Bhara Kababs I have tried. It has good flavour and along with the Chutney was very savoury to eat. Some might find it a tad dry, but I don't mind. Veg Ranchiro with Cilantro Rice - 5/5. I think this was the first Mexican dish I tried and I loved it! The flavours were very warm and to me personally it felt like a warm hug with every bite! Veg Singapore Rice with Hot Garlic Sauce - 3/5. It was good but not the best I had. Rice was a bit bland and the sauce was not as expected as there was no pop of flavours. Veg Schezwan Fried Rice - 3/5. Good flavours and a bit on the spicy side (For me at least, for others it might be normal). The usual flavour and nothing to boast about. Mint Lime Cooler - 3/5. Very refreshing and a good drink. A great combination for the food. However, I have had much much better ones. Lemon Ice Tea - 5/5. I am a sucker for tea, hot or cold and this one hit the spot! The flavours were on point and the tea / lemony taste was just right! This is among the best I have had.

I usually judge a restaurant by how well they make their basic beverages like Lime Juice and Ice Tea and the ice tea was up there among the best I have tasted. I will have to go back for Lime Juice another time though. We had some religious restrictions, so we were only able to try the veg food. Will definitely go back for the non veg menu.

All in all a great experience and definitely a recommendation for those looking for good food. It's not a cheap place and the prices are in line with what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant.

All the ratings I mentioned are for the experience we had with the service, food and ambience was what we, or personally, what I experienced. So this is just my opinion. I will definitely go back after a couple of months maybe to try some...

TL;DR below👇

This place was on my go-to list for a while. It had high ratings, the place looked good and so did the food. Finally, we decided to visit on a Sunday afternoon. The ambience is the one thing I liked here. The view is really good..

Coming to the food, to start things off, we had a mushroom pepper fry, which was decent, but the mushroom had become all soft, and the dish was drenched in oil.

Next off, we had the Mushroom Pesto pizza, and my biggest complaint with it is the crust. It was a "thin" crust, but it was very undercooked, and the cheese used was also of pretty poor quality. It was also just 4 slices. Not that I wanted more of it anyway :/

Then, we had the Tandoori Babycorn. It was good, probably the only dish which I couldn't complain about in our entire meal. But the waitress serving us dropped a spoon to the ground, and instead of replacing it, she promptly it back onto the plate. Felt that was pretty unhygienic.

Next we had Paneer Tikka masala with Garlic Naan and Butter Naan. The Paneer wasn't good at all, since it wasn't roasted in a tandoor, like a traditional tikka is supposed to. Anyway, we decided to finish what we ordered, and as we ate the Naans one by one, Surprise Surprise, we found a whole COCKROACH in a Naan. My brother remarked that just like how they have Garlic Naan or Cheese Naan, these people have come up with Cockroach Naan. Lol.

We were thoroughly disappointed with our experience and wanted to speak to the manager. He took a while to arrive, and when he did, he just apologised and cut off a meagre 15% from the bill. We also found our server laughing about the situation with some other staff. Felt it was quite distasteful.

We felt that this was a terribly unhygienic restaurant which had bad customer care as well. Definitely recommend everyone reading this to skip this place.

TL;DR: Found a cockroach in our food, overall bad service, comparatively expensive too. Please...

Now That I'm Back In Town It's Time To Review Few Of Mangalore's Finest Starting With @thyme.mangalore I Had Visited Thyme With This Weirdo 😂🙊 @the_prinzessin__ The Menu Include's: 1)Truly Desi Chicken Pizza - Rs 220 2) Jodhpuri Kebab Murgh - Rs 240 3) Chicken Ala Parilla - Rs 280 4) Cosmopolitan - Rs 295 5) Chocolate Truffle - Rs 120 6) Rocky Chocolate Mousse - Rs 120 There's A Good Balance Between The Chicken And Cheese On The Pizza, You Have The Distinct Indian Flavour's, A Must Try 👌 Sweet Carmelized Onions On Skewered Chicken. It Isn't Spicy As Such But Was Really Flavourful And Melt's In Your Mouth. Ala Parilla (Charcoal Grilled Meat) Rich And Creamy Stuffed Chicken Breast Spiced Generously, The Flavour's All Blended Well But Personally I Felt That The Gravy Was A Bit Less, Nonethless A Must Try At Thyme. (P.S My Frist Time Trying Brocoli 😂) The Chocolate Truffle Pastry Was Heavily Soaked In Syrup Which I Didn't Enjoy Much. The Rocky Chocolate Mousse Was A Delight, Filled With Cashew's Bit's And Chocolate Chip's With A Nutella Like Consistency. I Really Enjoyed This Dessert. We had a delightful evening at Thyme for dinner, where we had made a reservation. The atmosphere was pleasant, and we were assisted by courteous and friendly female staff who provided prompt service. For soups, we tried the 'Okaya soup', a clear soup with noodles, and the 'Pollo bean soup', which had a creamy texture, both of which were enjoyable. As starters, we indulged in the 'Murgh Cheese Chilli kebab' from the tandoor, which was quite satisfying. We savored the cheese pull of the fully loaded chicken pizza. Moving on to the main course, we opted for continental dishes. 'The Chicken Al Parilla' and the 'Basil crusted fish with basil rice', featuring Basa fish with cheese on top. We also tried the 'Pollo Santa Fe', which resembled Choris flavors, and all options were delightful and worthy of recommendation. We took Appam and mutton stew, which had coconut milk as it's base, proving to be a good choice. For dessert, we ended with Coconut panna cotta, catering to our sweet tooth, though the desserts leaned towards the pricier side. Overall, it was a good experience.
