Spindrift — Restaurant in Karnataka

Before I begin let me tell you that this will be my first and last experience at Spindrift. I visited this restaurant for Lunch to gulp down a few beers with the food. This pub is located inside the Bharat Mall and situated at the 5th floor. Parking lot makes it a lot easier and safe. 🚗

The first impression of the pub was good. The ambience is decent with decent music🎶. There's young crowd and few other family tables that changes the vibes of the place. The AC section is better for the young crowd as it given the lounge feel while the non AC for the family is a better deal.

Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Food was good. Did please me through. Crab🦀 claws: This is not prepared at the pub. It's a ready made frozen food that's available. You just need to deep fry and serve. It's a good starter but the pub doesn't get credit for it.

Pork Croquettes: Not the best. You can give it a try. Didn't impress my taste buds.🐖

Green salad: Good 🍅🥕🥒

Chichos: Their version of Nachos with minced chicken and served with salsa sauce. Not impressive and not recommended.

Chicken Urwal: Must try. Portion is decent for two. They serve boneless chicken. I tried it for the first time.🐔

Mixed veg fried rice: Not recommended.

Mango Jalepino rice: Must try. Portion for one. They serve you a portion of rice, some boneless chicken and Mango based thick gravy. Loved it.🍛

All meat 🍕 pizza: Large thin crust pizza with a good amount of toppings but it's dry. Lost the intention of eating another slice.

Stout beers: Dark beers with a bitter taste. Tried for the first and I loved it.

Quality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Portion size:⭐⭐⭐⭐ Presentation:⭐⭐⭐ Value for money:⭐⭐⭐⭐

Service: Everything was going well until we decided to opt for the main course. After waiting for 20 mins, we could not see any movement with the food. The staff assisting us disappeared. When enquired about the food, the order wasn't placed. The manager apologized and agreed the food will be prepared on priority. The food served arrived in the hurry was also not good. Most importantly the pizza was dry.

The staff who took the order came with a grin on his face saying the food was given to the other table in the non AC section. He didn't apologize nor stopped grinning. When we tried to reconfirm this action, the manager said that no order was placed. The grinning of the staff didn't stop nor did he have an apoligitic face.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Spindrift Restaurant, and while the food was decent, I was left disappointed and frustrated by the behavior of the staff. The level of arrogance displayed by some of the employees greatly overshadowed the overall dining experience.

From the moment we entered the restaurant, the hostess greeted us with an air of superiority, barely acknowledging our presence. It was quite off-putting to be treated as if we were an inconvenience instead of valued customers. Nevertheless, we decided to give the restaurant a chance and proceeded to our table.

Our server seemed to be in a rush, barely taking the time to explain the menu or answer our questions. When we asked for recommendations, the response we received was dismissive and unhelpful. It was evident that the server had no interest in providing a pleasant dining experience.

To make matters worse, when we requested some minor adjustments to our orders due to dietary restrictions, the server responded condescendingly, implying that we were making unreasonable demands. It was disappointing to witness such a lack of understanding and empathy towards our dietary needs.

Throughout the meal, the staff's arrogance was palpable. They carried themselves with an air of superiority, ignoring our requests for refills and additional condiments. It felt as if they were doing us a favor by serving us, rather than providing the attentive and friendly service one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber.

To add insult to injury, when we politely voiced our concerns to the manager at the end of the meal, their response was dismissive and defensive. They seemed uninterested in addressing the issue or taking any responsibility for the behavior of their staff. It was disheartening to witness such a lack of professionalism from a person in a managerial position.

While the food at Spindrift was reasonably good, the overall experience was marred by the arrogant and dismissive behavior of the staff. Dining out is not just about the food; it is about the entire experience, including the service. Unfortunately, Spindrift failed to deliver in this regard.

I sincerely hope that Spindrift takes this feedback to heart and works towards improving the behavior and attitude of their staff. Only then can they truly provide the exceptional dining experience that customers deserve. Until then, I cannot recommend Spindrift Restaurant to others seeking a pleasant and welcoming...

Beautiful ambience. Was my first time here and would definitely recommend this place. Calm and totally love the vibe there. Coming to the food. Everything thing I ordered here was finger liking good. I went here with my vegetarian friend. If you are a vegetarian you got nothing to worry. You have varieties of amazing yummy delicious starters, to tummy filling meals which are veg. For the soup we went with the tomato soup. Cuz my friend's veg. I'm not a huge fan of vegetarian food. But believe me when I say the soup was delicio!! The creamy texture and the riches of the hot yummy soup made me so happy. Made sure not to leave a drop. (I suggest u add some butter that you get along with the soup to make it more creamy and rich.) The Bread that came along with meh. Not fresh. U could do better Spindriftooo. Oh btw did I mention they have their own vineyard and brewery . OK not sure about the vineyard part but the wine brewery is right next to the restaurant. U can get freshly prepared wine here. Sadly I didn't get to try it. We even got onion rings for my friend. Okay beer battered onion rings to be exact. I mean they tasted like Onion rings. Crispy on the outside. Oniony on the inside. Couldn't really taste any beer. Well for me I got myself a plate of black bean sauce chicken wings. Initially I was kinds skeptical as the whole flavor of the wings would depend on the sauce quality. But damn the wings were delicious. They had this smoky flavor to it. And yes if you are craving smtg savory and delicious at the same time u should definitely check this out. We were full by then so we ended with some mocktails. I'm not sure about the names. But the pink one was amazing. I'm a huge fan of creamy mocktails. I would hunt the best ones out in the city. And I should say this is one of the mocktails that definitely got a spot in the top 10 best mocktails in manglore list!! Definitely recommend this place. Also the price was reasonable given the delicious goodness you get to enjoy. Do check this place out if you're ever visiting manglore or big Bazar. And it's a perfect place for friend...
