Hotel Kingston Park — Hotel in Karol Bagh

I stayed here for a night & I won’t recommend this for a White collar professional unless budget is a serious concern. First of all you cannot term it as a hotel but should be termed as a guest house

Check in was fast and the reception was very friendly. The room was on the first floor with the lift not working. The stairs were pretty steep but given I was on the first floor it did not matter.

The room was small. The fridge was empty. The fridge was placed in a platform & I do think it was ever dusted. There was a thick layer of dust in a ventilation less room. Thus it was clear the hotel did not have a professional manager running it. Complimentary water was not provided till I asked for it. The woodwork, furniture & ambiance was pretty shoddy. There were just 2 hangar inside the wardrobe & 1 of them was damaged which has never crossed the eye of housekeeping staff.

The funniest part was that such a hotel had a bath tub. Well I didn’t risk lying on it but stood & took a shower. The glass panel beside the shower to ensure water do not fall on the floor was fixed about 6 inches from the shower leaving a gap between the bathtub & the panel. Net result was that in no time the floor of the bathroom was wet.

Last was the breakfast. I hardly ate. There was bread butter without a toaster. God knows how one is suppose to apply butter unless it melts. I had a piece of paratha & requested a plain omlette. The options were rudimentary & not at all to my liking.

Thus unless budget is a serious concern I don’t recommend...

Best thing with the hotel is the location, it's not much inside easily locatable and just 600-1000 steps away from both jhandewalan and Karol bagh metro station. Karol bagh metro is near 600 steps. Haldiram is just 100-200 steps from the hotel and many other eating places available like 24*7 and Karim's. Also I ordered once from the hotel kitchen, it was good and the price was ok. Also the food service is available till midnight. Now about the rooms they are fine, slightly overpriced 2-2.5k for a small room and no windows in the room, there is issue of ventilation but can be compromised for the location. Recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Kingston Park along with my parent and it was a great experience, beginning with early check-in (always ensure availability if you are arriving early), clean and nice ambience with attentive and courteous staff that catered to our every need ensuring that our stay was as comfortable as possible along with its convenient location (a minute walk to Haldirams and 5 minutes walk to Karolbagh Metro Station and Dhristi IAS). The in-house food and laundary service were great and to the mark. A special mention to Mr. Gurpreet Singh; very helpful and supportive person.
