To begin with; I am a budget traveler, a flash packer of sorts, and look for hotels in the $30 USD range. If I go over budget, no worries and if I find really cheap accommodations that suite me that’s an added bonus.||||So far on this trip, November- December 2017, all the hotels I have stayed at are pretty much the same. No matter what price I paid (800 - 2000 INR) at any given hotel, I have found the cleanliness to be substandard, the rooms outdated and in need of serious remodeling and maintenance appears to be non existent. Typically the bedding, linen, pillows and towels are worn, stained and should be replaced. Hot water and water pressure can be an issue and I have at times skipped a shower. Amenities are totally lacking, mostly you get a roll of toilet paper and a bar of soap. Most budget hotels do not clean the rooms on a daily basis, seems to be upon request. Wi-Fi is hit or miss, some places it was quite good, others not so much. Never found much in the way of English language channels on the television so I did not watch it. As I traveled in December air-conditioning was unnecessary but I did turn on the fan from time to time to drown out noise and blow away mosquitoes. India is noisy, and I found most hotels to be as well, from a combination of street sounds, staff and guests. A visit from a mosquito or two was a nightly occurrence at just about every hotel I stayed at. ||||Now to the review: ||||This hotel is old and outdated but was probably very nice some years ago. The room was small but comfortable and the Wi-Fi worked surprising well. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they clean the rooms daily. Had to call the front desk to request hot water for the shower. Once the call was made there was plenty of it. They do provide in room dining but I did not try the food so I can not comment on it.||||Booked this hotel through booking.com for just over 2000 INR per night. A little expensive for what you get. There are dozens of similar hotels in the area. Would probably be wise to shop around a bit for a...
Read moreRead morepros:||1. locality is inside busy karol bagh shopping streets so i would rate 50%. U can spend a lot of time doing usual delhi type shopping here itself. 2. can find lot of nice restaurants. 3. staffs are helpful . 4, They have room service(for breakfast/food) as well. 5. Did not ask for Wifi so no idea about availability. 6. All basic needs are there in room like sopoa/ac/dustbin/news paper/tissue/clean towel/hair dryer. 7. travelled as family and could not feel anything wrong so can be advisable to others.||||Cons: 1. Bit of old structure and almost no ventilation. 2. all four sides of building is having almost kinda common wall with neighbour building. 3. if u are young couple or even bother-sister they treat and ask so many disgusting question and their typical delhi style pinching statements u will feel to leave the hotel immediately. Lack of common sense and hight of stupidness they show thinking they are the smartest human breed. I just ask 1 simple question "in india is it wrong to stay in hotel with a girl??" even after i spoke to them multiple times for some needs e.g. extra bed that i might need for my mom or giving my current train running status or asking them to direct the auto driver to locate the hotel the type of questions put by them is just insane and humiliating (if u can understand from their style of talk or looks they give). Apart from that everything was ok and can be suggested.but be aware if you are young couple or even cousins/siblings -better pay some extra bucks and take some reputed hotel. Never faced this kinda behaviour in my 4 years of post...
"I had an absolutely dreadful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the experience was nothing short of disappointing. The check-in process was chaotic and unorganized, with staff that seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than assisting guests. The room I was given was filthy—stains on the sheets, dust everywhere, and a bathroom that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The air conditioning didn’t work, and the window wouldn’t even open. To make matters worse, the Wi-Fi was spotty at best, and the TV didn’t work at all. When I tried to bring this up to the front desk, they were unhelpful and rude, offering no solutions. The breakfast was a joke, with stale pastries and cold coffee. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Save your money and stay...
