Service was good, and the waiter speaks excellent English. Food was tasty and plentiful, and they bring you a fork (I didn't use it) but this place is expensive even by North American standards. The place is not particularly clean nor does it have ambience, but it's well lit and sanitary. 720 rupees ($12 U.S.) for chicken main course, and 300 rupees ($5) for appetizer. Add naan bread, a bottle of water plus tax and it came to 1500 rupees ($25). I'm guessing I paid tourist prices, because this neighbourhood is a tourist trap. Tons of touts and all the cabs give you the run-around. There are so many Chawla's outlet in Delhi that it is difficult to locate the real one's.. This one located in one of several small lanes of Karol Bagh seems like the original one as it has signboard of establishment since 1960.. Anyway, the food quality is good and service is quick.. Discovered this place first time in KB and absolutely delighted to have done so. True to what they've written in the menu that Paneer butter masala is a must try, we found it well-cooked with loads of soft paneer cubes and thick gravy. Best part is they serve tawa roti too.
