I stayed at Cocobay for 4 days and have had by far the best experience at any resort I've stayed at. We had to take a boat to the resort which definitely adds to the experience of a 'getaway', and the resort is fairly secluded and facing the water, leading to unparalleled serenity. The staff was incredibly polite, helpful, warm and always at our disposal, truly committed to making our stay exceptional in any way. Raymond and Surya who manage the property offered us a warm welcome and ensured all our needs were catered to. Anandu, Wajid and Dinesh took care of all our dining needs and were extremely warm, considerate and thoughtful - I have to say that it truly felt like we were the only guests at the resort looking at the attention to detail and the level of care! The food was incredibly delicious, arguably some of the best food I've had in Kerala, and the level of service just knocked it out of the park! The property itself is incredibly beautiful and is meant to encourage people to unwind and relax. There are several amenities like the ability to book a houseboat or shikara that picks you up right from the rest, a variety of ayurvedic massages, and of course the pool right below the palm trees, facing the water. The property is smaller than some of the other resorts in Kumarakom, but that is part of the charm since there are fewer people and it truly allows you to disconnect, along with the service being highly personalized. If you're looking to unwind, looking for some peace and quiet, connect with nature and be spoiled with the level of service - I highly recommend Cocobay. I will definitely come again, and cannot say enough good things about this place!

Hands down one of the best places I have ever stayed. First off the location is unreal. The sunset views are to die for. The rooms and the premises are meticulously maintained. Like we literally saw people cleaning the pavements and other minor things every single day. My biggest thanks goes to their amazing staff. Mr. Raymond and Surya at the front desk were extremely helpful. Our flush broke in the middle of the night and they got a plumber to fix it right then. Anything we needed they were really at it. The food here is just mind blowing. Do try their prawn pollichattu and prawn uliyathu. Too good. We felt transported by the food. Even something as simple as tea and pakodas were mind blowing. The service staff Wajid, Anandhu and another person I forgot to ask his name took care of us like we were kids. Very polite, hospitable and extremely generous! I have been to many 5 star hotels but the service and the attention to detail here beats most. Great place to stay! Could have given more than 5 stars if I had an option!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a perfect getaway at Cocobay resort with my family and the experience exceeded all expectations. The resort's location is nothing short of breathtaking, nestled along the Vembanad lake with panoramic view of the azure waters, houseboats and lush greenery. Cocobay resort is a haven for those seeking an unparalleled escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The combination of stunning natural beauty, good accommodation, exceptional dining and top-notch service creates a resort experience that lingers in the memory long after departure. The genuine friendliness and professionalism of the staff added a personal touch to the overall experience, making it clear that guest satisfaction is a top priority. Without doubt, I look forward for returning to this hidden gem for another (3rd visit) enchanting retreat in the future.

We stayed for a day at Cocobay expecting a beautiful time but the truth was miles far from our expectation. The room was priced at 7k per night and the moment we opened the door, the odor was so overpowering that we had to keep the door and windows open for sometime. On discovering that the AC was dysfunctional, we tried calling at the reception, only to know that the line wasn't connecting properly. And finally when we managed to get the concerned person, she rudely stated that it was working before we got in. We felt helpless and at the mercy of inhospitable people, who were adament at making the stay memorable for all the wrong reasons. Then we sat out in the scorching afternoon sun, waiting for another room. After 20 minutes, we were again let inside another stenchy room, with a bed smelling strongly of mould. But as the money we paid was non refundable, we had no other go but stay. The morning breakfast was average but what really made us angry was the smug attitude displayed by the service staff. And when we asked for a bottle of water, they said ( again rudely) that it was chargeable. But it is only expected of a hotel to provide its guests with a renewed supply of drinking water every day.The overall experience was pathetic with the only saving grace being...

I will start with the good things about resort. The backwater view from resort lawn is breath taking. Most staffs, sp ones in the restaurant, are very friendly, but not the manager of the resort. The lawn and swimming pool are nicely maintained. They welcome you with lemonade.

And that's it. Nothing else is good here. The approach road to the resort, around.0.5 kms from the main road, was too narrow and fully broken. The boat to take people from drop point to the resort, is a shock to the eyes, its so dirty. The backwater canal through which boat comes to the resort, it is not at all breath taking view, as some people wrote in their review (and we were misled). There are small houses on both sides of the canal. The first look of the resort, that's the outer walls that you see, when in boat, is full of moss n algae. Room is a big disappointment. Looks like old property, which is maintained just OK. Fan makes too much of noise, no warm water in shower.

We had spent 13.5K for one room 2 nights. Not at all worth that money.

According to me, its not worth more that...
