Found the hotel on google maps as I was visiting the MIMS hospital and wanted to stay for a week time. Even though the price was high compared other hotels in the area, decided to pick this one due to the good rating as I was staying with family. The property was listed on Agoda.com with Rs .300 discount. I went to the hotel and requested that i want to see the room. They showed me the room. The room was spacious and looked OK. When enquired about the daily charges, the receptionist quoted Rs.1000 more than what was shown on Agoda . I showed the Agoda listing which was cheaper and checked with him if I can book through Agoda for which he said "YES". I made payment online and presented the voucher. He checked online and said he cannot accept the booking which I made after confirming with him. The reason he gave us was " Agoda is paying us less than our standard rate and putting discounts without informing us". As far as I know, the hotel is responsible for maintaining the tariff on Agoda. I had to make a call to Agoda to get a clarification and wasted one hour. Agoda after 4-5 chat attempts said they will cancel the booking and do a refund in a week time. Be careful with this hotel as they are conning people to book the hotel by showing a cheaper price and then forcing the customer to pay more when you checkin.
