This is strictly my opinion based on my worst experience at GAZANIA, a cafeteria inside Aster MIMS, Kozhikode.
I am requesting that the management of the hospital take some action. Because all customers of this cafeteria are patients/bystanders/staff of your hospital.
Later, I noticed that the cafeteria is operated by CALICUT ALBAKE. I sincerely request that the management take appropriate action. Please do not waste the time and money of customers who are already going through difficult times. Kindly remember that this cafeteria is located inside a hospital, not in a mall or high end location, and should reflect the care and sensitivity that it deserves.
This is my experience:
Hygiene: PATHETIC _tables were left cluttered with used plates, glasses, and tissues _the wash area was messy, with water and tissues scattered on the floor, making it difficult for elderly people _a waitress served food without washing her hands after clearing waste from another table _they serve normal water mixed with hot water _I am afraid that the paper cups and plates seem to be coated with a plastic layer inside
Food: BELOW AVERAGE _I ordered the normal Kuzhimandi as it was the only rice dish available and ready to serve. _chicken tasted unpleasant _rice appeared to have been sitting out for a long time. _mayonnaise, and other side dishes did not seem fresh _overall, I was quite dissatisfied with the quality of the food
Price: OVERPRICED _prices are unjustifiably high considering the quality of the food _rates are comparable or even higher than those at restaurants in Kozhikode
Service: HORRIBLE _It took 10 minutes to get the attention of a waitress, eventually had to ask the person at the cash counter _waitress placed water in paper cups between the dirty plates and tissues left by the previous customer _waited another 10 minutes for someone to clean the table, and the same waitress did it. _after calling the waitress back and placing my order, she simply disappeared ! _waited another 5 minutes, I had to go to the counter again to ask them to serve the food. _finally, the waitress brought the food, after yet another 10-minute wait !
Waiting time: VERY LONG _I could see that the Kuzhimandi was already prepared; they just needed to plate it. _can you believe it took more than 30 minutes just to get food from the counter to our table? Come on, we are in a hospital cafeteria, not a fine dining restaurant ! People are always in a rush and need quicker service.
Ambiance: LIMTED SPACE _the tables and overall premises aren't spacious enough to comfortably sit even 2 people.
I assume that they initially started something like a juice corner and later tried to expand into a full restaurant within the same space, using a limited staff. Unfortunately, they have failed to manage customer service effectively, especially during busy hours.

What is the basic thing a customer expects even from a roadside tea shop when he/she enters? A glass of water. I ordered chicken Nuggets, after taking one piece I started coughing continuously, none of the so called staff bothered to serve me even a glass of water! Only after demanding, a lady brought a paper cup, poured water and took away the jug. After few minutes I started coughing again, this time nobody bothered, although all the customers were looking at me. I was forced to buy a bottle of water at last, I have never experienced this kind of inhuman treatment anywhere. I am left wondering what kind of food is being actually served. Waiting time: Worst.. Being a hospital canteen, we expect some delay. But more than half an hour for lime juice, come on.. Do they go and buy lemon after getting the order or what?
Billing: Again, how much time do you want to make the customers wait for billing, that to after making us wait so much for getting the food itself..
Cost: So very expensive for the food and service they give
Atmosphere: Nothing special, looks tidy but they don't clean proactively. But okay for a restaurant that functions inside a hospital
