Shawn Villa, Kochi — Hotel in Kerala

We stayed in this home stay for 8 nights. It was during the floods that our home in Aluva and its surrounding areas were submerged and we chose this place temporarily until the situation normalized. We were given 2BHK and was charged 3500/- almost 1000/- more than what was available on websites despite the fact they knew our situation. The owner Mathew blamed the brokers for the pricing on the website. We took the place as we had an aged mother and mobility was a cause of concern. What would you expect for 3500/- a day? Well the owner used to slimly wallace in then tell us not to leave the bedroom doors open if the air condition is switched on as he feared that the compressors may fail. We obliged to his request. Two days later the hot water supply ceased when we wanted to give our mother a bath. He turned around and said that the water supply to boiler has stopped. Reason being that the municipal corporation ceased supply. He also added that, we need to tell him when we were take a shower. We argued the case and in 20 min hot water supply resumed. We also had a good chat session with the chap Mr Mathew. We pointed out that he lived in Saudi Arabia and knows how an a/c should function and precisely well how a home stay should be like. If his home had these reservations for the guest then that should be up on the website. Post this encounter the air condition in one of the bedrooms failed to start. We informed his wife but no one turned up to repair until we left. We were not looking at discounts on rack prices but the least he could have done was not charge 40% more than the advertised tariff especially knowing our plight. After paying the 3500/- you get a 1995 era TV, (picture enclosed) it still works though. You will get a glimpse of what we are saying through this review. Appalling! Mrs Mathew was nice. You get house keeping services every alternate day. The home has limited kitchenware and so if you are intending to make more than 2 dishes it may not be...

Here i am showing my gratitude to Shawn Villa authorities especially to Mr. K P Mathew. I am with my family stayed more than two months in Shawn Villa and we are very Happy with the Accommodation facilities.. This villa is near to Our Great actor Mammoottys Home and we got a chance to Meet him from there.

Mr. K P Mathew is a kind and helpful person and he will clear immediately if any maintenance issues those reported We not required a vehicle if we are in Shawn Villa.. Bus & Metro services are walkable and Uber or Ola is always ready in 24*7 within a span of 2 or 3 minutes.

We enjoyed alots and very happy with the Place and supportive staffs

Our family stayed in this vacation home for 25 days in July 2018. We highly recommend this place for its cleanness, accessibility and above all the friendly nature of the owners Mr. & Mrs. Mathew.
