My recent stay at the Radisson Blu, Kochi, was a bit of a mixed bag initially, but ultimately, it solidified my opinion that it remains a strong contender for a comfortable stay in the city.
The initial impression was unfortunately a slight letdown. Prior to my arrival, I tried to get some information through phone and I found it surprisingly difficult to get clear, concise answers, and felt there was a slight lack of responsiveness. This created a minor ripple of frustration, as efficient information dissemination is something I often take for granted with a hotel of this caliber.
However, once I arrived, the true essence of Radisson Blu's hospitality shone through and more than compensated for that initial hiccup. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Every interaction, from check-in to concierge services, was handled with genuine warmth and professionalism. They truly went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and address any needs I had, turning what started as a minor negative into a testament to their excellent on-ground service.
And then, there was the breakfast. Oh, the breakfast! It was, without a doubt, a highlight of my stay. The spread was incredibly diverse, offering a fantastic array of both local Keralan delicacies and international favorites. More importantly, the taste was absolutely top-notch. Every dish I sampled, was prepared with evident care and high-quality ingredients. The freshness was palpable, and the flavors were vibrant and authentic. It truly set a high bar for hotel breakfasts.
Despite the initial minor struggle with information accessibility, the exceptional in-person hospitality and the truly delicious breakfast cemented my positive experience at the Radisson Blu, Kochi. It's clear that their commitment to guest satisfaction once you're on-site is commendable. I would still recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, particularly if you value excellent service and a fantastic start to your day with their...
Read moreI am writing to provide feedback on a recent stay at your property. As a global traveler with experience at various Radisson Blu hotels, this particular stay fell well short of my expectations.
My key observations are as follows:
Positive Feedback
The excellent breakfast menu and the helpfulness of the staff were highlights of our stay. The front desk and usher staff, in particular, were very accommodating. A young gentleman at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and a true credit to your team. Additionally, the security staff at the main entrance were both professional and helpful.
Areas for Improvement
Despite our stay being planned around a significant engagement event at your hotel and our reservations being confirmed well in advance, several issues were not addressed, leading to a disappointing experience.
Room Setup: Our room was not prepared for triple occupancy upon arrival, which was especially difficult after a long morning flight. This required a member of our party to sleep uncomfortably on the sofa.
Elevator Functionality: We experienced numerous instances of the elevators malfunctioning or being completely out of service, which was a significant inconvenience given our specific purpose for staying at the hotel.
Air Conditioning: The centralized AC system in the room emitted a persistent musty or moldy odor. Despite multiple attempts to contact the front desk, the issue was not resolved.
The fact that we had messaged the reservations team, specifically Akhila, weeks in advance to specify our requirements makes the lack of preparation and resolution particularly disappointing.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that this feedback will be used to improve the...
Read moreI stayed for a night at Radisson Kochi, Ernakulum,?and my experience was truly delightful. The hotel is located right opposite Elamkulam Metro Station, which makes travelling to different parts of the city extremely convenient.||||I had booked a Business Class room, which turned out to be more like a junior suite — and it was far beyond my expectations. The interiors followed a soothing white and blue theme, from the sofa and furniture to even the doors, creating a calming and serene ambiance the moment I stepped in. The bed was super cozy, and I especially loved the soft blue lighting from the false ceiling and behind the headboard, which added a relaxing vibe to the whole room.||The wooden flooring added a premium and elegant touch, while the plush blue carpet beneath the bed elevated the room’s aesthetic and made the space feel even more inviting and luxurious.||||Since I was travelling alone, I truly enjoyed some quality “me time.” I spent the evening watching TV, treating myself to a delicious Malabar Biryani, and finishing off with a mouth-watering pastry — a simple yet memorable experience.||||As for the downsides, the property had only one functional multi-cuisine restaurant during my stay. The Asian restaurant and rooftop bar were closed, which was slightly disappointing. The breakfast spread was average, though I appreciated the staff’s thoughtfulness in preparing a cold coffee on request.||||Overall, despite a few minor drawbacks, the room’s comfort, soothing ambiance, and premium feel more than made up for it. I would definitely consider coming back here — even if just for that cozy,...
