Killa Beach Resort — Hotel in Maharashtra

The location of this resort and overall property is the ONLY positive about the resort. We took the family room that faces the beach instead of cottages or couple rooms that had a mini balcony.|The property:|Whole property (size and location) is good but is very badly maintained. The hygiene of these rooms will give the feel of an old shabby 'lodge'. Few lights in the rooms won't work faucets have a stain/rusty layer over them, light sand over mattresses, old bed linen, bad pillows etc.. are the highlights. |Parking space is abundant and reachablity wise it's quite close to city centre and right in Chivla beach, which is clean and well connected.|The service:|Room service is nothing less than pathetic with a demotivated staff. The Intercom wasn't working, to which the owner said it was due to the recent storms, which we believed. However, none of the staff members were willing to share the landline or mobile numbers in case we wanted to reach out to them to order food or anything else.|The food:|The kitchen served food with decent good taste & quality, just that room service was bad. They won't even pick up old dishes untill they walked up to serve our next order ... Which could even be a whole night/day after.||Overall experience was not good. We selected this place only for the location and because the owner gave us a good rate. However, won't refer anyone to take this up unless they are checking the place in advance...

If you are in Malvan, Killa is the best place to stay. Mahesh and Pranjal from the team helped with our stay and we really appreciate it. The rooms are spacious and clean. Killa is not a traditional hotel hotel. So please don't go if you are seeking a city like hotel room. Although Killa offers the exact same services as the other hotels. You can request local Malvani cuisine and you will not be disappointed. There is ample parking space. If you get a room facing the Arabian Sea, you are in for a treat. The breeze in the evening can be enjoyed from your room or the lounge chairs set up in the verandah. 30-40 steps and you are on the beach. And this is the cleaner of the beaches, do note. The fort side is delightful too, but if you need good sunsets, clean waves, and less crowd, Chiwla Beach is your side to be and Killa is the best place to stay. Absolutely loved our stay here. So much that I am already planning my next trip already. Market, bus depot are 5-10 minutes away. Water Sports facilities are right on the beach. Dolphin safari is a must too. Best place in Malvan and next to Chivla beach. It's a sea face resort and looks elegant including hotel, cottage, independent rooms.We were here for 4 days and enjoyed very much. Surrounding area, Children Play Area, Rest area, Rooms are clean and neat. You have Benches/Sofas to view beach/sky accompany with high coconuts trees. Ambiance is very beautiful. Sand is everywhere along with net and other activities. Cost is very less compared to other places and location. Staff is very friendly and kind. Overall great place to enjoy with your family, friends etc. Must stay at this place if you are planning to visit Malvan/Sindhudurg. Chivla/Tarkerli/Devbagh beach, Tsunami island, Sindhudurg Fort, Rock Garden are within 10-15 KM distance and many more are on walking distance from Resort.
