Rahi Plaza — Hotel in Maharashtra

I stayed at Hotel Rahi Plaza with my husband and my less than 2 year old son. We had booked for 3 nights stay with package of breakfast and meals, to and fro AC bus, sight seeing (1 day) tour. We got our room changed the very next day as the room provided was not clean and considering the hygiene for my little one, did not want to take risk. Mr. D Shetty was informed about the problem I was facing and he promised to change the room the next day which he did. We were told that we had been booked at Hotel Rahi but we stayed at their sister concern (adjacent and at the back side) Hotel Rahi Plaza which did not matter much as the rooms were similar, but there was one guy who instead of showing us a room at any of these two places took us to a neighbouring hotel Blue Heaven saying it was their 3rd hotel. Since I disagreed to the room I landed up staying in a different room at Hotel Rahi Plaza. So beware! Check properly which hotel you are booked in. ||Location : Absolutely nice as it is a prime location, market starts from here so no hassles to search for anything like cabs, bus stand, medical etc. ||Breakfast & Meals : Please check with your tour agent as to what your package includes. Meal is not all that great but the service is quick. Whenever we asked for anything from the menu we were told its not included in the package ie. No Chinese, No biryani, No veg grilled sandwich etc. If we asked for veg sandwich for breakfast they would say No and we stuck to bread and butter. Also when I came back from my tour I was vomiting continuously for 2 days. Do not know the reason but maybe I had seen the filth of the cooking area which was not appropriate. So many people have written reviews but I don’t know how anyone did not think of taking a picture of the same.||Rooms : Its a small budget hotel so cannot expect much, but if you are good to the housekeeping staff maybe they consider you and pay much attention to clean your room and provide you necessary things. Towels were white but I guess people were using them as doormats and hence there were mud stains on them. Though I changed the room as well as was provided with fresh towels the condition remained the same. I used my own towel and would advice others to do the same.|| My only request to the management of Hotel Rahi and Rahi Plaza is that when they know so many people visit their hotel to stay and eat food, they should take necessary step to keep the path way clean (specially when food is being cooked in such places) also the waiting room needs to be modified. On 31st May 2024, we travelled to Mahabaleshwar along with 9 members of my family. Trip booking was done through Yash Yatra travel agency. We were asked to go to Hotel Rahi Plaza after reaching to Mahabaleshwar. There was no one from Yash Plasa at Mahabaleshwar to guide us. We checked for Hotel address and shifted our Baggage to the hotel ourselves. Rooms were not ready and we were asked to get fresh and finish our breakfast first. Washrooms and wash besin were in horrible condition.Breakfast arrangement was at terece at third floor with temporary shade. Cleanliness, maintaining hygiene is a big issue here. This arrangement was for travellers booking their trip through yash yatra package. After Breakfast rooms were alloted for which we travelled through a narrow lobby near to restaurant kitchen, washroom and store room ( again hygiene issue) with broken floor tiles and then going up 10 to 15 stairs. This 10 to 15 stairs up and down, travelling through narrow lobby going up to third floor and vice versa exercise was necessary to get our food every time. Four of our family members suffered with omitting and dysentry. Children's who opt for Non veg. food at different restaurants were lucky and survive from this situation. One more big family with six members also shared similar experience with health issue due to food quality and hygiene condition. No power back up was available. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Rahi Plaza in Mahabaleshwar. The experience was incredibly disappointing, starting with the room issue we previously discussed. In addition, I encountered the following problems: Unhygienic Room Conditions: The room was not cleaned properly, as it was handed over to us directly from previous guests. It was filled with a foul odor, mosquitoes, and spiders, as evidenced by the attached photos. Inadequate Bedding: Given the small room size and our family with children, we requested an extra bed. However, the provided bedsheet and bed were of very poor quality, as shown in the attached photo. Hot Water Restrictions: We were informed that hot water would only be available between 6 AM and 9 AM, a fact not mentioned during the booking process. Such a restriction is unacceptable for a hotel room, especially considering the cold weather in Mahabaleshwar. Overall, these issues resulted in a completely wasted two-day stay. My trust in MakeMyTrip has been severely eroded, and I will not recommend your services to anyone.
