This is one of the oldest & authentic eateries in Mahabaleshwar and will always have a very special place in my heart. By far, the best collection of Sizzlers I have ever experienced, including my all time favourites, mutton sizzler.
The location is at the heart of Mahabaleshwar market place, just opposite the bus depot. Getting a parking space here, during rush hours and on weekends, could be a real challenge. However, there’s always some security personnel present who normally helps getting your car parked.
This small eatery boasts varieties of Chinese cuisines including sizzler. This is a non-vegetarian paradise amidst many of the pure vegetarian or jain restaurants nearby. They also serve alcohol including beers, breezers, etc.
Cost of a portion is slightly on a higher side. However, the portion size and taste should actually compensate for it. For sizzlers, they normally have regular & larger portion sizes, beware of ordering large portion unless you eat like body builders. It should ideally be good enough for a couple.
Be patient while ordering here as delivery of your order may take long time, sometimes. Seems they don’t compromise with the taste & take usual time always to make it memorable anytime, every time.
Whenever I visit Mahabaleshwar or even Panchgani, this is one must visit place for me. I will surely return in future, sooner than later, to tingle my taste...
Read moreI had been fan of this place for many years. They serve good sizzlers and planned to take my family there during my last week's visit to Mahabaleshwar. Sadly had a very sad experience with the hotel's manager (Mr Kuldip Singh). On Friday, I arrived for lunch tired after long hours of sight seeing with my family (old-young together).. Upon entering the restaurant, which specifically writes outside that it offers only Chinese and sizzlers, this gentleman before even offering us to sit asks my cousins and elders hope you are not looking for Indian food as we don't serve it here. It felt as if we dressed in Indian wear do not read what is written outside and walk in. He sounded like a Britisher saying 'People dressed in Indian wear and dogs are not allowed'. We clarified him that yes read before entering but due to his behaviour decided to leave the restaurant. Hope owners take necessary cognizance of such feedback and actions to train staff on...
Read moreSizzler Palace one of the good place for dinner.
The ambience is good for evening. The staff is quite humble and understanding. Food quality is decent for the price range.
If you like tangy, do try their drunken chicken which is quite tasty with tangy ness. Also do mention your spicy preference.
Next what they are famous of their sizzlers. It wasn't quite impressive but yes the taste was decent. I would give them 3.7 for that as the rice was not that tasty the rest veggies and chicken was good.
Virgin Mojito was the best of the mocktails, the presentation was good the quantity is good.
Blue Lagoon was not that good as it turned it too sweet.
2 Things that personally didn't like about this place.
After order it takes about 45-50 mins for your food to arrive. It took almost 20 mins for the mocktails as well.
I think the prices are on the higher side.
Apart from everything this is the place you don't...
