Hotel Marhaba — Hotel in Mumbai

Probably one of the worst hotels to be in Mumbai (Bhindi Bazar area). We stayed in a four bed room (room no. 101) on the first floor. The hotel has no service. The person in the reception is extremely ill mannered. All he is after is the rent which he asked us to pay everyday. If you ask him to show you the hotel rooms more than once, he would behave very rudely. The rooms are not cleaned everyday. Even if you ask the reception to send someone, they would say it would take 30 min but no one turns up even after 3 hours. Also there is another hotel just beside this one called Hotel Akbar where every afternoon they bring goats. The smell of the goats fill the entire air of Hotel Marhaba which is very unpleasant. the place isn't accessible by cab, it'll drop you about 100 away on the main road. they turn the ac's off as soon as it's morning and the lift is mostly off too. the rooms have no ventilation or windows except like one room on each floor that's adjacent to the road and the rooms are very claustrophobic. the management generally overbooks the hotel by telling you that they have rooms available but when you reach they'll disagree to the same. they provide nothing like soaps, towels etc. and when asked for it they'll ask you to go buy them yourself from the shop nearby. the staff is very unresponsive at times and would just ignore a lot...

Dieses Hotel war mit Abstand das schlechteste Hotel überhaupt! ||Zunächst zum Zimmer:||Unser Zimmer hatte kein Fenster, war ziemlich klein, die Klimaanlage ließ sich nicht regeln.||Man hatte also die Wahl zwischen einem Erstickungstod oder einer Unterkühlung mit möglichen Folgen einer Lungenentzündung oder katastrophalen Kopfschmerzen.||Schmutzig war es ohne Ende. Überall auf dem Fußboden und auf dem Bett waren Haare (welche u.a. Schamhaaren glichen) zu sehen - Ekelhaft!!! ||Wir baten dann um ein anderes, sauberes Zimmer, wo die Klimaanlage nicht direkt über unseren Köpfen ist und welches ein Fenster hat. Zu Gute halten muss man dem Hotel natürlich, dass wir dieses Zimmer auch bekamen. Das besagte Fenster war eine Art "Guckloch" über der Türe zum Gang hinaus und die Klimaanlage war dieses Mal nur schräg über unseren Köpfen...||Aber: als wir ins Bad gingen, siehe da.... waren auf dem Toilettensitz die eingetrockneten Urinspuren des vorherigen Gastes zu sehen. ||Na ja, das war dann unser GO alles sofort zu packen und diesen Ort fluchtartig zu verlassen. ||Erwähnenswert zudem ist, dass das Hotel über wifi verfügt. Nur funktionierte es in keinem der beiden Zimmer. ||Zur Gegend wo das Hotel liegt: ||Das Hotel liegt recht weit weg von den Sehenswürdigkeiten, es ist wahnsinnig hektisch und laut (nach diesem Ort, waren die anderen Gegenden von Mumbai geradezu idyllisch)||Nichtsdestotrotz ist die Gegend aber einen Besuch wert, da man in eine so andersartige Welt eintaucht. Es ist sehr traditionell muslimisch geprägt und es herrscht ein orientalisches Markttreiben hier, welches ich weder im restlichen Mumbai noch in Rajasthan, Delhi oder Kolkata nochmal...
