Hotel Sangeeth Palace — Hotel in Pamban Island

If you book online you will have 12 O clock check out system and they will rob you 3 days rent for 36 hours.😬 2 days rent for 36 hours is ok. But 3 days rent?? How this robbery happens? Let me explain.

In Rameswaram all the trains comes only in the morning 7 am. So if you come to the hotel by 8 am they won't let you in. You have to wait till 1 pm. Where will you stay? If you check in by noon, the whole day is lost as all the rituals are finished only in the morning. So you need to pay one more day's rent for that 3 hours early check-in.

That is not all. The next day, again all the trains leave only in the evening at 6pm. But you have to check out by noon. Most of the Ancestors rituals will not finish before 1 pm. Then you have to eat, take a rest and get fresh before catching the train by 6 pm.?

But you can't as you have to check out by noon. Where will you go? So you need to pay one more day's rent just for 4 hours. (That too if you prefer not to go to the station early. ) To avoid the third day rent I left early spend the time in the Rly Station. Atleast it was open and cool breeze was there.

These guys never heard about 24 hour check out system.

Since this place is a pilgrimage destination, the management doesn't expect repeat customers. 😏 Some rooms very narrow. Becareful. No help will come from reception. Overall a bad experience. Rent is also...

We reached there late night. Already informed them that it would be 11-12 in the night to reach there. The staff at the reception was very rude in answering. They would not accept cards and insisting on paying by cash or gpay. We were already tired and the process of checkin was really unclear for the staff themselves. One person said 1 ID card is enough and he even took a print out. Then another reception person comes and says we would need 2 for a couple. They showed us a tiny little room and were like we only have this room available for today. The room had literally no ventilation all packed closed. There is no proper way to walk around the bed and my husband got hurt hitting the bed as well. 1 star that i am giving is also only because the washroom was neat to use. AC remote was not working. It's fixed to 22 and no other option to change or even switch it off. Worst experience ever. Caught cold ❄️ next morning. 2200 paid for 1 night for a store room type very very tiny room is a utter waste. The next day when we checked the whole hotel was empty and the room were all checked out. I really doubt they only had that very very little tiny...

Unpleasant Experience - A Hotel to Avoid

Firstly, the space in the hotel room was incredibly limited. It felt cramped, and I could barely move around comfortably. Hotel price was too pricey for the quality of service provided. You could stay in a decent 4 star place for the same price.

One of the most appalling aspects of this hotel was the lack of a grace period for check-out. When I requested a little extra time to gather my belongings, I was met with a demand for an exorbitant fee of 1000 rupees per hour!

Despite my explicit request for a twin bed room during the reservation process, the hotel failed to fulfill this simple request. The hotel's audacity to charge a whopping 1000 rupees for an extra bed, without any prior notice or clear explanation, only highlighted their blatant disregard for transparency and fairness.

I was astonished to find out that tips were expected and collected in advance, even before any services were rendered.
