The Curry — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Service: Very pathetic service provided by the staff here in The curry restaurant Rameshwaram which is a complete different treatment when compared to their other restaurant in Kanyakumari. They significantly delayed the orders for the customers in the hotel and when we entered the fight was already ongoing.

One of the starter which we ordered was ready only after we finished our main course. Biriyani was too spicy and not good and the same biriyani in their Kanyakumari outlet was way better. We had ordered fresh lime juice which we asked to be served along with the Biriyani but they took forever to get that. We then had to get water bottle to compensate for the juice. After too much of request the juice was served but the lime soda was not great as it lacked fresh Soda.

And the first thing when you enter the restaurant you will feel warm and then you realise that there is no AC and they only have some sort of non functional coolers or the internal AC machine is for name sake. You will feel this after 5 to 10 mins that it's not possible to sit if you are on the far side of the restaurant where they have not even placed that internal AC machine.

Overall a very bad experience as I could see many feeling the same and also in the comments it's clear that the AC and service is the worst....

I visited the restaurant after seeing the online reviews. Once entered I understood the ground reality of the place. The washroom was smelled and maintained worst than a public washroom, taps were not working. The place was dirty, tables were not cleaned. When I called the staff to clean the table, he just advised me to find a better table elsewhere. The other tables were maintained in same way. Though, I understood the place was horrible, I had no other choice as it was already late and with no better alternatives nearby. We managed to find a decent place to sit and dine. The order took forever to come on our table, everything tasted mediocre at best. I couldn't complete the food and ask the staff to clean the table and pack the remaining food. It literally took 20 mins for anyone to turn up and make a parcel even after multiple reminder. This is such a bad place and nightmarish experience. Don't rely on fake reviews and paid...

Stayed in the hotel that houses the restaurant and had their complimentary breakfast buffet.

The dining hall is large and spacious. The hall is hot and air-conditioning is non existent. They had 3 cooling units cranking out cooler air hardly to the two tables adjacent to the unit. The fourth one wasn’t working. The management at work cared very little for the complaints.

The dining tables were not properly cleaned leaving food particles behind. There are plenty of flies to keep you busy.

The food tasted bland. Seemed like they were trying to strike a balance between the south and north Indian palate. They served the same dishes except two on both days.

Service could be better. The Waiting staff who pointlessly stand all over the restaurant. There was one person at the desk who was helpful with few questions I had. Staff can understand Hindi or Tamil.
