Read moreThere are several serious problems with this hotel -
When we arrived, the floor of the room and bathroom were dirty and not cleaned properly. For almost a hour, the taps ran dry and we had to wait for water supply to be restored When we opened the taps - scalding hot water came out of ALL of them, no cold water from any tap. This was super annoying as we only had scalding water to bathe with. This wasn't unique to our room - someone in another room told us they had this exact issue too The lift was working weirdly - it would not go to the fourth floor, you had to get off the 3rd floor and climb there The restaurant served average food that was quite expensive The staff were polite, but seemed completely out of their depth when resolving problems. The issue lies with bad management who don't keep proper policies/staff training. As stated above, bad management. The hotel manager gave us many misleading/incorrect statements, like when we asked for the distance to a certain restaurant, they told us it was "far" in an effort to get us to eat at the restaurant attached to the hotel when it was only 400m away.
The main advantage is this hotel is right next to the temple proper. We literally had a view of the temple's entrance from the hotel room - this is good if you are travelling with senior citizens who cannot walk far.
However, at the same time, there are many other hotels and transport is easily available. As another reviewer pointed out, do not rely on cab/auto driver recommendations as the hotel pays them commissions to bring guests there (and later gets the money from us by charging high rates). Rather go on google, do research and look at recent reviews. There are many many places and cut-throat...
Read moreUnprofessional Staff, Poor Service, and False Promises My visit to Hotel Sri Savanna Bhavan was nothing short of a nightmare. From start to finish, it was a series of unprofessional behavior and terrible service.
When we entered the restaurant, we were directed to the AC room. However, when we reached there, the staff inside—who seemed indifferent and overbearing—told us outright, “If you want, you can go outside and eat. Nobody’s here, otherwise just leave.” This kind of attitude is unacceptable and extremely disrespectful.
To make matters worse, most of the items on the menu were unavailable, leaving us with barely any choice. We ended up ordering chapati and parota, which are simple items, but even those took an incredibly long time to arrive. It felt like we were being ignored the entire time.
The AC room wasn’t functioning because, as the staff explained, they had “stopped using it” since there were only four of us. This made no sense and should have been communicated upfront. Instead, they wasted our time directing us there, only to make us feel unwelcome and unwanted.
Overall, the service was appalling. The rude staff, the lack of menu options, the long waiting time, and the overall mismanagement made this one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. If you care about good service or even basic courtesy, do yourself a favor and avoid this...
