House of Kalam is the residence of Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, a visionary scientist and the 11th President of India, revered for his humility, dedication to education, and inspiring leadership in science and public service. He is commonly known as the Missile Man of India and inspired every child to dream big and believe in their ability to achieve greatness.

The house displays the souvenirs of him, the books written by him, his personal book collection, and various awards won by him, including the Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. It also showcases the various uniforms he wore, including the one from DRDO.

The display is excellent and truly motivates us. They also have a remarkable collection of his photographs. The museum maintains a positive and uplifting environment inside.

On the top floor, above the museum, there is also a shop where one can buy various souvenirs, gift items, and craft works at reasonably fair prices.

There are no ticket charges for entry to the museum or the souvenir shop. The entry to both is through a narrow passage, which can sometimes lead to a feeling of rush or crowd due to limited space.

The road leading to the front of the House of Kalam is also narrow, making parking quite difficult for both light and heavy vehicles. It is always recommended to park your vehicle at a suitable nearby location and then walk to the House of Kalam.

It is also highly recommended to bring your kids to the museum, as they will surely be inspired by the environment and the remarkable achievements of the greatest scientist of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

So, on your next visit to Rameswaram, don’t miss visiting this special place. It is truly a place of positivity—as was the great...
