Treebo Trend Eden Park — Hotel in Puducherry

I had booked a standard room with a KING size bed for 2+1 for 3N (22Oct-25Oct) via MMT. We were traveling from Hyd to Pondicherry (780kms) and we were not sure if we could cover the distance in a day. But finally we did cover it and reached the hotel by evening a day before.

We requested at the reception, spoke to their manager and they allowed us for a preponed stay. But they gave us a room with 2 single beds in a small room instead of our booking with a king size bed. We didn't complain as they agreed for a preponed stay. They promised the next day onwards they would give us the room we had booked.

But the next day they changed another room of the same small size with a single QUEEN size bed! In our booking it was a KING size bed mentioned. We raised this at reception and they said we don't have a king size bed. Upon showing my MMT booking description they said it might be a mistake and I'll let the management know.

The breakfast was good. The location is not good if you want to explore the white town, French colony in Puduchery frequently as the property is far (4-5km) and autowale will loot you.

Overall it wasn't a pleasant stay...

We went to Pondi on a spur of the moment trip and all the big hotels were fully booked up. I got a good deal from Agoda (3 nights for Rs. 14000), and I wasn't expecting much, only a comfortable place to sleep.

The owner/manager gave us an upgrade to a Family room, a BIG room with an extra bed for the kids. Bathroom was well stocked and the front desk was super responsive!

The location is bang middle of city and going to Auroville, Chunnambar or the Promenade is all easy peasy!

Truly enjoyed the stay in Eden Park and now we have a regular haunt whenever we're in Pondicherry. Eden...

I got surprised after check-in into this hotel. AC was not functioning at all and I had to face challenges to get the room changed where AC was working. Hotel claims so many amenities however they don't provide many of those. I stayed three days but room cleaning didn't happen. Also wifi didn't work during my stay and I got informed before checkin night that now wifi working which was useless at that moment of time to me.
