Copper Kitchen — Restaurant in Puducherry

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant during our recent visit. The food was absolutely delicious—flavours were rich and perfectly balanced. Every dish we ordered was freshly prepared and served hot. Presentation was neat, and the portion sizes were satisfying. The menu had a good variety, and it was hard to pick just a few dishes! Especially loved the starters and the main course options. Desserts were the perfect way to end our meal—so tasty! What made the experience even better was the service. The staff were extremely polite and attentive to every detail. They made us feel welcomed and comfortable throughout. They patiently explained menu items and gave great suggestions. Water glasses were never empty and tables were cleaned promptly. They checked in on us often, but never intrusively. The ambience of the place was also calm and family-friendly. We went during a busy time, yet the staff managed everything smoothly. Even though we had to wait a few minutes, it was worth it. Just a worst experience in copper kitchen… no one was there to receive us and we just enquired in reception and there was no response but once we sit in the seat suddenly someone came and asked us to leave the seat … this is actually pathetic to do like this … u should have actually properly received us and asked us to wait .. manager name is kannan… and he is saying there is no one else above him to make complaints against him.. I love the taste of the restaurant.. there is no complaint about the quality.. But the way that guy behaved was totally not acceptable

1. someone should be available at the door to take names for waiting list
2. even after enquiring in reception they failed to metion about waiting list policy
3. we have already taken our seats in the restaurant even then the manager asked us to leave our seats was totally not acceptable.. I really doesn’t understand the concept of treating a guest in hotels and management..

While in Pondicherry I was looking for a decent place to eat out, cam across this place. Given it had good rating I thought of giving it a try, however my experience was below standard. To begin with there was a valet service so parking is taken care of, thus one star for that. Later, we were asked to go to the first floor. First shocker was their AC wasn't working. As per the coordinator something blasted off and since then AC wasn't functional. Imagine eating in a closed space with no AC pondicherry hot & humid climate. Anyway, after waiting for some gpod 15 minutes we got a table. Service abysmally slow to begin with. We tried their popular kizhi parrota, it was different and tasted flavourful. We had ordered on chicken biryani, it was bland and tasteless. We had also ordered for tender coconut shake and mint lemon, both were equally below average.
