Vandana Pure Veg Hotel — Restaurant in Pune

We were looking for a good restaurant to order some vegetarian meals for dinner when I found this on zomato. We ordered a jumbo thali, an extra paneer bhaji, and 3 extra chapatis (phulka as they call it)

However, we were not very pleased with what was offered to us. The extra paneer bhaji and the one with the thali were the same and not very good to taste. Initially, it was unclear what it was to us, but then we found out it was palak paneer, but it tasted just average. I have tasted from many restaurants, and if appropriately cooked, palak paneer can taste exceptional.

However, the other parts of the thali were good. The flower sabzi tasted delicious, but we really like the kadi and rice. The combination was exceptional, and the kadi was made very well. The gulab jamun and the buttermilk sent as a part of the thali were really delicious too.

This is a gujrati restaurant.. I went there after reading the online reviews. The restaurant provides the special Vandana veg thali which I tried in my visit. My frnd asked for normal veg thali. There was not much difference in the dishes except a paneer gravy and a sweet. All the dishes have the typical gujrati taste. I am not great fan of the gujarti dishes as they taste more sweet. The quantity was good as compared to the price of special thali. If you are gujarti food fan then you must visit the place. I would like to mention that the service here is slow.. there is confusion between the staff. I asked for rice to one staff member, after waiting for almost 8-10 mins I requested other staff member to get the rice. And the funny thing was that after another 5 mins both of them got me a rice plate. My overall experience was ok which was not...

Yeah, why 5 stars? Because they know what we want. I ordered Methi Parathas from Zomato, Zomato recommend me to add some instructions, as follows I added I want salad extra to add in curd. And they send same as my expectations. After a day I ordered same again, same instructions, so what I received? They mixed Onion, tomato, cucumber salad in curd (which was very tasty). And jo mujhe chahiye tha unhone vaisa hi order bheja. And yeah, Methi Parathas, ah... Delicious tasty , if I want to eat after home I will order from here for Parathas again(it was like homemade)...
