To get to this hotel, one has to take a left after Jallianwala bagh and then a right from the inside. That's about 2 mins walking distance from the golden temple. And here is where the good part ends. (Almost).||I reach at 5pm, and my room is still getting ready, as I am inside a lady is mopping the floor, bed is neatly made so I sit and wait for her to finish. This person who showed me the room asks me to check the bathroom, which is dirty, wrappers lying around and even a shorts (which the person asks if it's mine, I had just entered right?). When I asked the lady about the bathroom she says it's not her job and the boy has to see to it. (He is down already with the shorts of the previous guest). |Somehow after sometime bathroom is cleaned and given to me. |After I go out and return, the tap of the washbasin comes in my hand and it's late so I go to sleep.|Two power cuts has me searching for my phone, though power resumes after 5-10 mins. |In the morning, I see another person at reception, I request him I want late check out at 2pm (modest, considering my train is in the evening). He says no, and then I complain about the tap, and everything, he gives no reaction, no remorse but says I can leave the room at 1pm instead. ||Then I step out to visit temple and return around 11 when the person who checked me in is there, he asks about the so called complaint. Apologizes meekly and then I go.||Room I stayed in #103 is right above reception and I could hear people talk during day time. There is AC but no remote, TV Is there but I didn't check out the channels, too disturbed by the experience. ||I am surprised how can a reputed portal like MakeMyTrip have a contract with such a hotel, no checks nothing.
