Dhaba Restaurant is a hidden gem that takes you on a culinary journey right to the heart of India. From the moment you walk in, the vibrant decor sets the tone—a blend of rustic charm and cultural elements that truly represents the essence of a traditional Indian dhaba.

Ambiance: The ambiance is both lively and cozy, perfect for family dinners or casual outings with friends. The colorful artwork and authentic Indian artifacts create an inviting atmosphere that feels both warm and invigorating.

Service: The staff at Dhaba Restaurant are exceptionally friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. The service was prompt, and we never felt rushed, which allowed us to savor each dish.

Food: Now, let’s talk about the food—nothing short of spectacular! The menu is an extensive mix of classic Indian dishes, each bursting with flavor. We started with the iconic Paneer Tikka, which was perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection. For the main course, the Butter Chicken is a must-try! It was rich, creamy, and the chicken was incredibly tender. The accompanying Garlic Naan was fluffy and ideal for scooping up the delicious gravy.

Vegetarians will also find a wealth of options. The Chole Bhature was a delightful combination of spicy chickpeas and fluffy bread that I can’t stop craving. Don’t skip dessert— the Gulab Jamun was soft, syrupy, and the perfect sweet ending to our meal.

Value for Money: The prices are reasonable considering the generous portion sizes and the high quality of the ingredients. It makes for an excellent value, especially for the authentic flavors you get.

Overall Experience: Dhaba Restaurant is a fantastic dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine. Whether you’re a fan of spicy curries or seeking vegetarian delights, this place is sure to satisfy your cravings. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their enticing menu items. Don’t miss out on this...

Bharawan Da Dhaba, Amritsar Bharawan Da Dhaba is an iconic restaurant in Amritsar, known for serving authentic Punjabi cuisine. Located near the Golden Temple, it’s a perfect spot for those looking to indulge in hearty, traditional food while exploring the city's vibrant culture. Ambiance: The atmosphere at Bharawan Da Dhaba is simple yet welcoming. It has a typical dhaba-style setup with wooden tables and chairs, giving it a casual and rustic vibe. The place is often buzzing with locals and tourists alike, which adds to its charm. It’s not fancy, but the warmth of the staff and the lively ambiance make it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. Food: The food is the highlight here, especially for vegetarians. I tried their famous Amritsari Kulcha, which was crispy on the outside, soft inside, and served with tangy chole (chickpeas) and chutney. Their Sarson Da Saag and Makki Di Roti is a must-try if you're in the mood for something traditional. The flavors were rich, earthy, and true to their roots. For dessert, I highly recommend the Phirni, a creamy rice pudding that was the perfect end to a fulfilling meal. Service: Despite the large crowds, the service is quick and efficient. The staff is courteous, and they handle the high volume of customers with ease. However, during peak hours, you might have to wait for a table, but the wait is usually worth it. Price: The food is reasonably priced considering the quality and the generous portions. It's a great place for those who want to enjoy authentic Punjabi food without breaking the bank. Final Thoughts: Bharawan Da Dhaba is a must-visit if you're in Amritsar. Whether you're a local or a tourist, the flavors here offer a genuine taste of Punjab. The no-frills ambiance, combined with delicious food, makes it an experience you won't forget. It’s a place I’d gladly revisit whenever I’m in...

Now listen to my experience. I use to be a regular customer of ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਢਾਬਾ. But to my latest experience it has the worst food of all till now. I asked waiter pajji that whats special and bestseller. He gave me recommendation of Paneer Tikka Masala. I ordered one. Explanation of dish: As the name says Paneer Tikka the gravy rich red tomato and onions spicy thick gravy should consist of the chunks of paneer and some onions and tomato roasted in tandoor oven so as it adds some tandoori flavour to gravy.

Dish which arrived: Paneer was totally raw. Capcicum was completely raw not even sauted in oil so that it may cook slightly. The gravy was thin as hell. The thickess can be compared to that of Dal. Even Dal makhni is thicker than the Paneer Tikka Masala gravy. Even the quantity was too much less. And it costed me 295/- and I was sad as hell.

Comparing with Brothers Dhaba: Brothers Dhabha is still better than this. They provide butter roti which is made of atta while Bhrawan da Dhabha give roti of Maida. The quantity is better at Brothers as compared to Bhrawan. Bhrawan Dhaba provides raw onions while brother provide nice onions salad mixed in pickel and sirka which tastes good. Quantity of food is better at brothers than Bhrawan. Brothers is economical as...

Subhash Vij joined his father in running the more-than-century-old Bharawan Da Dhaba in 1975 after completing his graduation. The dhaba, a 10-minute walk from the Golden Temple in Amritsar, was started by Subhash’s grandfather in 1912 in a tent after he came from Sialkot, Pakistan, to settle in the border town. Today, Bharawan Da Dhaba, which specialises in traditional Punjabi food, is considered to be a must-visit on every tourist’s itinerary who visits Amritsar. The restaurant provides a wide range of Punjabi dishes, like stuffed kulchas with chole to makke di roti with sarson da saag, to name a few. Currently, Subhash’s son has joined him in the business, and together, they are running three branches in the city. Subhash (63) says the dhaba went through many upheavals due to wars with Pakistan and militancy, but they kept their focus on championing taste and service. Today, the chain of restaurants in the city is clocking a turnover of over Rs 4 crore. In a video interview with SMBStory, Subhash shares the restaurant’s 106-year-old journey, their unique cooking methodology as well as the ingredients for success.

During my visit to Amritsar, I actually came here twice with 2 different friend groups, because this restaurant was recommended as a must visit for trying Punjabi food. Unfortunately I’m allergic to dairy, so I can’t really eat Punjabi food, but there were options for me too! For dinner, I had a plain dosa and the honey chilli potatoes. Honey chilli potatoes are my favorite Indo-Chinese dish, and these were really delicious. My friend got Kulcha and matka kulfi and really liked both. The next morning for breakfast I returned with 2 more friends, who both got aloo Kulcha, along with raita and masala chai. They both really enjoyed their food. The breakfast menu wasn’t as dietary restriction friendly for me, but the waiter was super helpful and able to get me plain toast, which I really appreciated. So the service was wonderful and the food is delicious. This restaurant was pretty busy, but we were able to be sat quickly for both visits, so I’d definitely recommend coming here if you’re in town.
