Kota Kunj Hotel — Hotel in Rajasthan

We booked this Hotel after reading the reviews on Google. This is not a Hotel, it cannot be compared with a good homestay even. The room was stinky. Every here & there water is dropping from the ceiling. The room was full of lizards. There was no intercom in the room. The toilet was dirty. The food served was stale, we all got our stomach upset. The owner has published very attractive photos on the websites to attract tourists but reality is different. The owner is running this facility without any room service & house keeping facility. They have charged us Rs 3800 per night without breakfast for 3 person which is very high (no bill was provided) for this kind of Hotels (rather homestay). We felt cheated. There are many good Hotels available at Pushkar at lower rates. Hence please avoid this Hotel.

Only good thing is the location & the behaviour...

We had a beautiful stay at the heritage site Kota Kunj with one of the most views over the lake. The hotel is run by a family who inherited this old palace turned hotel. Ritika helped us with everything we needed from organising desert tours to booking transport. She also told us a lot about the history, setup and a bit of politics about Pushkar so we could make sense of all the experienced we made during our stay. The hotel has only recently started and we felt good to have been able to support a family-run hotel in the making of all the developments in Pushkar. 100% recommendable and I am curious to see how it will develop in the future. I had one of the most moments during my travel just sitting on the top of Kota Kunj and enjoying the view over Pushkar.

It's no where match my experience compare to the reviews on which I selected this property. They seems be discriminatory between domestic guest and foreigners. Thier main Target group is foreigners. In my room water was not available in night around 12 am and there was no body outside to complain . I had to wait upto morning to find somebody to told. Then that person start water motor. Food was good in taste but Ala carte options are unreasonable costly. No body there to attend you while taking food. A simple request for glass of water was ignored. They do not provide water after you finished one water bottle. It's pathetic place. To my surprise why people choose such absurd place. They don't want domestic guest that's why intentionally might be poor in...
