The Ramvilas - A Rooftop Pichola Lake View Hotel — Hotel in Rajasthan

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS HOTEL. Their staff is disrespectful and incompetent to run this hotel. We booked 2 rooms for 2 night for 16000 and left hotel in few hours as we could not stand there while wasting our vacation time. Still struggling to get refund through Agoda.

Their room smells bad, no hot water, no room heaters and they just laugh on you when you complain about issues. Here is the sequence of event for our experience.

1. We called around a week back to talk with hotel that we will be arriving at 7am and would require early check in. The hotel asked us to call in a day advance to see if rooms are available and will provide one if there is.
2. we started calling them when our train from Jaipur started at around 8 pm a day earlier on their number at website. Between 8pm and 7am next day(called them more than 20 times), our calls were not answered by hotel and we were left with uncertainty of available room for early checkin.
3. we reached hotel at 7:30 am with that uncertainty and luckily they had room available for early checking.
4. the one room they provided was not cleaned and there were birds in the room when we opened. No room had heater and they were cold due to marbles in room.
5. They first said no for the handheld heater by saying that all the heaters are gone and provided heaters after an hour or so while we were freezing inside the room. The room has granite tiles which are really really cold.
6. bathroom had no hot water. We complained about it and the first person who came to room to check disrespectfully told my wife that this is how hot water is and it will be like this only. After shouting at front desk about it multiple times they offered hot water buckets but by that time we both had taken bath with cold water. Imagine taking bath with cold water in freezing room without room heater.
7. then next receptionist came who apologized and offered us to upgrade room. He showed us the room which was just checked out and told us that it will be cleaned by the time we come back. He also accepted that hot water is not working and central water heating system has problems which will be fixed.
8. we came back after noon and there was another receptionist who took us to our new room. The new upgraded room was smelling with human poop so badly that none of us could not stand there(including that new receptionist). When we asked about hot water issue, he was not aware that it is a problem. After complaining that you guys were supposed to fix water heater, he called some other person who just lied to us that someone is fixing it right now. We are saying that he lied because we asked him that show us where they are fixing water heater and he just started smiling at us and walked away.

This hotel management is example of planned trap. We booked 2 rooms with advance 18k / night for 3 nights. While entering we saw guests were arguing with receptionist. (1st receptionist I saw). We checked in. Basic things like kettle, hot water, tea coffee sachets etc not available; we immediately informed, receptionist said , ABHI DETA HUN (he never turn backed) Morning, no hot water (it was 7 temperature) we called reception, he said , ABHI KARTA HUN (He still solving the problem :-| We got 2 small kids less than 10 years, we just took bath in cold water and left for the day (while going saw some guests having argument on refund on reception - this time I am not surprised) Evening , we face same issues.. I visited reception (I met another person (2nd) on reception) Second day morning same issue repeated... saw guest furiously arguing with , this time 3rd receptionist (just see every time they got replacement just to give reason , SIR MUZE NAHI PATA Guest wanted to talk to owner/ magt, they not provided with any number We came back in the evening with no expectation but to our surprise these crooks don't even bother to clean our room. I visited Reception, met the one whom I saw first day (1st one) said CHECK KARTA HUN cleaningwala person came and said sir sorry muse kisine bataya nahi... By this time the entire small and major (hot water) issues were unsolved....

Meanwhile we tried to contact AGODA, and they don't have simple customer care system to help customers... There bot system is pathetic (or may be very smart not to have service related questions )

With no WALI to us we just stay there for another horrible day with all these planning conman's who very smartly change the staff so u have to start your story from scratch and they have RATTE HUA ANSWER... MAI DEKHTA HUN, MUZE MALUM NAHI

Guys, Don't book this place, good location managed by BAD people is always a nightmare..

Location : Hotel is located next to Udai Vilas, in Haridas ji ki Magri. Its not far from old city and city palace, just a 3-min drive. We stayed for a week and the whole stay was very good. It was very peaceful, the celebration of new year did not create any issue for us, as we like to go to bed early.

Room : We booked the premium room with extra bed for new year week. The room was very spacious, with work desk and Sofa with table, including refrigerator and electrical tea-pot with needed kit for tea/coffee. The bed was also very comfortable and spotless.

Housekeeping : it was very comfortable with excellent housekeeping, you have to request at front desk for it daily, so very useful as the staff will not create any disturbance if you just want to relax. Things were kept clean in excellent condition, also the toiletries were refreshed and restocked mostly as per need. We also got 4 bottle of mineral water daily in the room for our family.

Food : This is a pure vegetarian property. Food was excellent, we did try Indian and chinese for lunch/dinner which was excellent, not at all spicy or oily. The breakfast spread was also very good with good amount of variation and dishes to choose from daily, including fruits and other things. They include Poha, idli, Vada, Parathas, Bread with butter and jam, cereal, milk, curd,Poori, sabji, chole, bature etc. and many more things.

Staff : Exemplary behaviour, Mr.Hemant (property Manager) takes personal interest in the guest and their needs. Our interaction with all their staff was very nice.
