Located on the top floor of the Sierra building, Soul Bistro & Bar is a gem that brings together vibrant ambiance, good food, and breathtaking views. The restaurant also features an upper open-to-sky floor, though it was closed during my rainy season visit — understandably so, but I can imagine it would be magical in better weather.

The place offers North Indian cuisine with a variety of food options, along with a well-curated bar and beverage menu. While I didn’t try much food to give a full verdict, what I did have was satisfying, though not particularly mind-blowing. That said, the overall experience more than made up for it.

What really stands out here is the lake-facing view with mountains in the backdrop — absolutely stunning! Whether you’re on a romantic date or just out with friends, the scenery sets the mood.

The interior design of the restaurant is modern, tasteful, and totally Instagram-worthy. There are some great spots to click photos, so keep your cameras ready. The service was quick, and the staff polite and efficient. Menus are accessible online — just scan and order, which adds a nice digital touch to the experience.

Although there was no live music during my visit, the playlist playing across the space was fantastic — the vibes were truly on point. They do host live music sometimes, which I’m sure would elevate the vibe even more.

Wandering around the city, exploring various places to eat, one fine weekend we came across this place in Haridaas ji ki Magri which is a unit of the Sun and Moon cafe in old city. Expanding their reach the Sun and Moon opened a cafe by the name of Soul amidst the city but providing a mesmerizing nature view as well. It is a roof top cafe available with 2 types of seating arrangement one indoors and the other a bit on the open side. Talking about the ambience, it was very captivating. A nicely done place with sufficient space and soothing music. They also have a bar and serve various types of drinks alongside food. We tried 2 dishes which were cheese nachos and cheese chilli toast. I felt these were the safest options to start with to satisfy our hunger while looking for other dishes to order. But reality in this case was completely different, the nachos go by the name of Cheese Nachos but they hardly had any sprinkle of cheese or cheese sauce in it. Instead they were just topped with some tomatoes, onions, coriander and mayonnaise. Next comes the cheese chilli toast, while it had adequate amount of cheese in it but the bread was soggy instead of crispy. Also chilli flavours were missing as well. Having been to quite a few places, such dishes are mostly accompanied with some kind of dip to compensate the dryness of bread but here too no dip was served. It could have been their way of serving the dish but it felt too dry. All in all it wasn't that great an experience for us. Positive - The Barkeeper was amazingly great and very very very kind. He is the USP of the place. Very kind, Very humble, and he deserves better place.

What I did not like was the management. Especially the lady I guess she who owns this place. I understand that FnB business could be really stressful, but she was making it worse. Incident - We were asked to wait and waiting for the chairs. She dragged the chair from inside which I assumed was for us. She literally dragged the chair all the way from another area, it was first of all too noisy. Secondly she worked that hard but she just parked the chair in front of us and without saying anything " for you " " please have a sit " nothing, She just left. Ok we got the idea who is the boss.

Then we were waiting for the water and glasses , some other tables also complained about the same.

Please make sure when you get the new guest, just they settle and sit, bring the water and glasses at first, the menu and then disappear. So that we have time to settled down.

The lady was actually confusing the waiting staff, she was sending one area to another , they are taking orders and she asked them to do another thing first . No this is not the way. Please make sure if you have distributed the area and duties, make sure they don't get anything extra until and unless they have time.
