Vela Resort Pushkar — Hotel in Rajasthan

Me and my husband visited this hotel on the 12 of February after reading positive reviews. I had even contacted the owner Mr Vikram Parasar beforehand and recieved a welcoming response from him. But to our disappointment our experience was quite the opposite. I would like to state the following in details. ‌1. We were CHEATED from the beginning. I had requested for a super delux room and booked so but on arrival we were given a delux room instead. There was no way of knowing since I never compared the rooms. But the next day I came to know through websites that we were staying in a lower category room. When confronted the owner blatantly refused to accept the truth and tried to defend himself by saying that it was the right category room only. Finally we shifted to another hotel after taking the difference amount. I would also like to mention that the mangament too is pathetic. Rooms are in a horrible condition ( atleast ours was). They don't even provide clean bedsheets and one has to request constantly to get it. There is also frequent power cuts thankfully we didn't visit during summer. Overall there is lack of basic hygeine and cleanliness. ‌3. The owner should take some initiative on mantainace and organisation of the property. Service needs to be improved and and the staff should be more professional as well as punctual.

I’ve stayed in this amazing resort for the holi week! I was so mersmerized by the beauty of this place with so much greenery even in a comparitively dry land. I’m going to list the best features of this resort here Chlorine free and environment conscious usage of swimming pool water. They change it very regularly and use the water for the farms

Farm view. As you open the balcony door of the main building rooms; u get an amazing view of the Savitri Devi temple on hill top with vela resort’s own lush farms with cows

Very helpful staff. As a solo female traveller; I’ve been well treated ; greatly respected and warmly welcomed. I was looked after often to ensure my safety.

A massage chair! That’s an added feature and loved it.

A pool table. Who doesn’t love to play pool?

Oven cooked authentic Italian pizzas.

A lot of free ground for bonfire; music and party.

Accommodation of all sorts, from private tents to private rooms. However I prefer the tents!!! They were luxurious. They arrange camps too for night camping experience if you can use the public bathroom.

7 Location : just walking distance from all the main attractions as in the lake and temples.

Personally arranged safaris ! One stop destination for all your Pushkar bucket...

Recommendation for Vela Resort in Pushkar

During our stay in Pushkar, we had an amazing experience at Vela Resort, run by the wonderful host, Vicky. We are a family with three children, and this resort was perfect for us. The atmosphere was relaxed and kid-friendly, with plenty of grassy spaces for the kids to enjoy.

We stayed in two luxury tents, which was comfortable and beautifully set up. The swimming pool was amazing along with a billiards table, adding extra fun that add for the whole family.

The food at Vela Resort was great, with a variety of delicious dishes served in their garden restaurant. Hotel is very close to Brhama temple and the beutifull market of Pushkar. Every morning at 06:00 we went to do meditation near Pushkar lake and after that drinking a great Chai tea in the market. In total we had 6 beutifull nights at Vela Resort and we are highly recommend this hotel for families or couples looking for a peaceful and nature retreat and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
