Bella Vista — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

We had booked the entire homestay since we were a group of 16 members. Right from booking to check-in, the process was smooth. The manager was very courteous and prompt. ||||The homestay is a quaint cottage, with a British era charm around it. The lawn and the garden is well maintained with ample parking space for 4 cars. The cottage is very spacious with nice porch and a living area as soon as you enter. The bedrooms are good enough for a family of four. The bathroom was well maintained, clean and spacious. They have individual heaters for each bathroom and you can get hot water round the clock. The main beds are not too soft or hard. Adults can sleep comfortably in them. In our room we had two such beds along with a sofa-cum-bed that accommodated another two adults.||||The best thing about the homestay is the staff. Right from the manager, to the cook and the house-keeping staff, every one had only one thing in mind - customer satisfaction. The food was simple yet tasty. Breakfast was included in the package. You could confirm the previous night on what you want for breakfast - Idli, Dosa, Poori or Pongal. They even catered to adhoc requests for dosas or any special items like omelettes etc. The food cooked by the lady chef was so good that during our 4 day long stay we just had one meal outside. ||||We picked Coonoor as Ooty has become a crowded place especially during summers and we were not disappointed. The homestay is close to the Coonoor station. We had good rains on the last two days and we could not venture out much in the end. We stay put inside the cottage and enjoyed the rain through the glass windows. At one point we saw ice pellets which are small hailstones when it rained heavily.||||Overall it was a pleasant experience and would to visit Bella Vista again...

The location of the homestay was good.we stayed there for 2 nights. 1.They confirmed that we can make our child's food but said "you will make for child but you will eat that we will not allow" this kibd of insulting words. 2.We've ordered rice dal boiled potato boiled egg alu gobi fry..they refused to give rice.."you haven't ordered rice" these words..but we repeatedly confirmed the menu in the time of giving order..and if we miss then it's their responsibility to ask how we eat without rice or roti?after so many requests they give rice at 10.30 pm..So how they got that rice then if we didn't order? 3.Never seen them in evening in the property during our stay.the care taker entered after 7pm and we got tea after telling so many times by calling in phone. So we got tea after 7.30 pm. 4.We have taken a knife from them once for cutting a cake and returned it.the caretaker's attitude was always that we are taking things from their property like this.

We've stayed in so many honestays before this all around India but never faced like this.We were of 7 people with 2 small children with us..but really got scared to stay there as the place was unknown to us.We've booked by reading good reviews but very much disappointed by their behaviour.. Homestay is where we can feel like home.but the word...

Our stay at Bella Vista Home Stays in Coonoor was a mix of highs and lows. The location is truly beautiful, offering stunning views of the surrounding hills and tea plantations. Waking up to such serene landscapes was one of the highlights of our trip.

The breakfast at Bella Vista was delightful, with a variety of delicious options that were freshly prepared. It was a great way to start our days, and we appreciated the effort put into making the meals enjoyable.

However, the service left something to be desired. While the hosts were friendly, there were moments when we felt that the attention to detail and responsiveness could have been better. Some requests took longer to be addressed, which slightly impacted our overall experience.

Despite these service issues, Bella Vista Home Stays has a lot of potential. The charming setting and the quality of the breakfast make it a worthwhile place to stay, especially for those looking to enjoy the natural beauty of Coonoor. With some improvements in service, it could be an even better experience.

Overall, Bella Vista Home Stays provided a pleasant stay with room for improvement. I would recommend it for the views and breakfast, but with the hope that the service aspects will be enhanced...
