La Blooms Holidays — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

We booked this resort for our family visit to ooty. It was booked for 10 people and we received a 3 bhk villa named The Chill Inn which was right in front of the la blooms resort. We asked for early check in over call 2 days before and the person on the call agreed to that. On the check-in date, we reached around 10:00 AM and the check-in time was 12 so we were allowed to get into the room. The villa was spacious enough with all basic facilities like geyser, drinking water, fridge, WiFi, basic kitchen essentials required for cooking was provided. There were 3 rooms out of which 2 had king size beds and one big room had 2 king sized beds. All 3 rooms had attached washrooms and all necessary items like towels and toiletries were provided. A complete video of the villa is attached to this review. The staff was very supportive with all our requests and were providing services on time. There was some issue with the water purifier and the management fixed the issue within an hour of raising the complaint. To all who are thinking of booking this, they also provide food service but the options are limited but they have both veg and non veg options. We didn't try the food but the tea and coffee was great. One notable incident which we liked was on the 2nd day of our stay, we used the kitchen to prepare breakfast and then left for sightseeing after having our breakfast. When we returned at night, we saw all the utensils, glassed and complete kitchen was cleaned. We never expected this kind of service. The only negative i can talk about would be the location of the resort. It's a little off beat place and there are steep slopes on the way to reach the resort. We went by traveller and it was a bit of a difficult task for the driver to drive on the uphill. Small cars can easily move but for big SUV type cars it may be a bit of a difficult task. No Bloom. Its not a resort, however more like a cottage 5 kms away from the city center. You have nothing to do if you come back early to the hotel. Rooms on the ground floor has no view. Not sure if 1st floor has any. The windows of the rooms are toward the entrance of the hotel making it very inconvenient and have no choice but to keep the curtains of the windows close all the time. You will always be disturbed by the sound of the people walking around and on top of that there is a generator next to your room which gets on frequently due to frequent power cuts. Basic amenities like Kettle and intercom were not available in the room, every time you have to visit their kitchen(not really a pleasant place) to get the hot water. Caretaker number will be busy most of the times making you to walk to him for any request. No restaurant at the property. On the 1st day I ordered dinner at the hotel and was surprised to know that it was ordered from the outside restaurant which i myself could have done. For Breakfast, You have to walk to their another hotel which is at walkable distance. Breakfast is not really a buffet but kind off limited food , as it is served by their staff as you stand in queue and they are very diligent in serving limited quantity. If you are a foodie you have to request them to serve more which makes very embarrassing and you end eating whatever has been served. very limited options for the breakfast menu. Rooms were not that great looking at the price we paid. Hotel was really costly as compared to the services provided in other local hotels. Hot water is really a big concern of this hotel. They provide hot water only between 6-10AM. I was not getting a feeling of hotel rather than a 3rd class lodge with many restrictions. Another worse part was extra bedding, they provide very bad mattresses along with dirty 3rd class bed sheets and the justification for not providing white bed sheets was that there are chances of getting stains hence as a precautionary measure they are providing colored nylon bedsheets and pillow covers. Have you ever seen black towels but this hotel provides used black towels so that they can save on laundry and same towels can be reused without any complains. Fourthly, check-in time was horrible. They treated me as if I am asking a room for free which was booked from Goibibo and the the complete amount was paid in advance. In short horrible experience and I can keep on...
