Mixed Experience: Great Amenities, but Service Needs Improvement While the hotel itself offers great amenities and delicious food, my stay was somewhat marred by disappointing service, particularly from the receptionist . Upon arrival, the receptionist treated us as though we were staying for free, despite having paid a premium price. To make matters worse, we were initially assigned a room with no view—contrary to what our booking had promised, and the window was blocked by a wall. After a lengthy 30-minute discussion and walking up and down, we were eventually moved to a different room that the receptionist had originally claimed was unavailable. It seemed like this room magically became free once we insisted on a change. The most uncomfortable part of our stay occurred at checkout. The same receptionist made us wait for 10-15 minutes while repeatedly sending someone to inspect our room, as if we had taken something. This felt unnecessary and embarrassing, especially when other guests were enjoying a smooth check-out experience. It left us feeling like we were being unfairly treated. That said, the rest of the experience was very enjoyable. The food was excellent, the hotel’s amenities were top-notch, and the restaurant staff were kind and attentive. If not for the service issues, this would have been a truly fantastic stay.

During my stay at Alleppey with my family(wife and 2 kids), I decided to book Ramada by Wyndham at Alleppey, believing in Ramada's name. But exactly opposite to my belief, the experience I had except to the ambiance and food was not good at all. Firstly, the room assigned was more of a rat hole than a room and the floor to ceiling height was not more than 6 ft, which I could touch with the hands and even my 7 yr old could touch the ceiling will standing on the bed. The most important thing that made me think about was their washroom. An ideal washroom is always made as slope, where the drainage is always on the lower side, and the tap is on the higher side so that the water gets easily drained off. But in Ramada by Wyndham Alleppey, it is the exact opposite where the tap is on the lower side, and drainage is on the higher side because of which water gets accumulated and the customer had to wipe it with their legs so that the water doesn't get spilled on the dry area side. When I informed about this at the reception, the answer of the lady surprised me. She said that it's the same design of all the washroom in the hitel and she can't help it. I still can't believe that this is the situation of one of the biggest hotel brands of India "Ramada". Requesting the Ramada to look into it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ramada Resort and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me warmly and made me feel extremely welcome. The resort itself is absolutely stunning. The grounds are well-maintained and beautifully landscaped, creating a serene and peaceful environment. The pool area is also very impressive, with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas for relaxing. The pool itself is clean and inviting, perfect for taking a refreshing swim on a hot day. The rooms at the Ramada Resort are spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep each night. One of the highlights of my stay was the dining options at the resort. The on-site restaurant offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, all prepared by talented chefs. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a great selection of both hot and cold items. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly, providing excellent service throughout. Overall, my stay at the Ramada Resort was fantastic. The staff, amenities, and overall experience were top-notch. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

The best experience in this hotel was the checking out process, which I was looking forward to from 5 minutes after we checked in. Out of all the hotels that we have been to during this trip, this experience has been the worst in terms of hospitality, service, organization, as well as overall upkeep of the building, where there are pieces of carpet sticking out and uneven tiles all over the place. Its a shame that they call this place a 5 star hotel, where I have seen 3 star hotels with better quality of experience. Starting off with the check in, rather than being a relaxed welcome, it felt like a rushed process to get us out of the reception area so the front desk can go back to doing nothing. As our luggage was unloaded into the reception area and we were ready to go to our room, we were told that the luggage will meet us there in 5-10 minutes. Our luggage arrived however 1 piece of baggage was missing, to which we thought maybe it was being kept behind front desk since there wasn't enough space on the cart. When we went down to go to our car, we saw our bag sitting in the middle of the reception area, with no care from the front desk, who were unaware that there was a random piece of luggage sitting in their area. The room only had 2 bath towels, no hand towels, or wash cloths or even a bath math. After we requested the towels the first time, we waited about 25 minutes and called back, to which they told me " Sir, you didn't request it" so I requested again, and it came 35 minutes later. The room was also in the very corner of the hotel, and was more of a store room looking at the size of it. Travelling with 3 people, the baggage didn't have enough space in the room let alone having an extra bed for a third person. After we talked to our booking person, and they said they will contact the manager and to sit tight as they get us a bigger room. Again we waited about 45 minutes for them to come and show us the new room, which we took right away. I do have some praise for this place, the food was good, thats about it. The service of the waiters was slow, and they never seemed to pay attention to us, we were 3 out of 6 total people sitting in the buffet area. The rooftop lounge was good, the best part about THAT was the live singer. Breakfast the next day was a disaster. It seemed like there was a conference there and everyone from the conference happened to join at once. There weren't enough tables to seat everyone, so there were people standing around the buffet area and eating. There wasn't space to walk and the food was ALWAYS out, with no rush to refill the food. The live food station, serving omelets and dosas, took about 20 minutes to make 1 omelet, with multiple peoples orders being forgotten or given to others. Again, no organization of any sort. The working staff seemed confused and anxious at the influx of information coming to them and everyone trying to order. So after a very short breakfast, we rushed to our rooms, packed our bags, and didn't call a luggage man because we wanted to get out as fast as possible. Definitely will be letting the tour organizer know not to let other clients come here, to save the tour...

This hotel has worst policies and not a 5 star hotel. We can say 1 star hotel. They have worst policy of only reserved number of adults can stay. I booked via wyndham official app while booking i had mentioned 1 adult and had reserved premium king size room ( this is there 2nd most premium category room what they have ) after hotel checking in 1 hour later receptionist told me since my booking has 1 adult. I cannot stay my wife Or i have to pay additional cost. So i made another booking ( 2nd booking with 2 adults same room ) thinking i can cancel my first one and will get refund. After booking confirmed for 2nd one called receptionist and asked fine. Now they were okay itseems. Note price was same for both the bookings 1st booking 1 adult and 2nd booking 2 adults. Now my idea is to cancel my 1st booking and get full refund. You know receptionist told my booking cancelled at the last minute so no refund i can claim itseems upon request also there was worst answer from receptionist and when i told i will raise a concern with wyndham he said on my face you do what ever you want i dont care. ( not even sir to give respect to customers )

Note with kochi ramada also i had 1 adult booking for 3 days and they have no issues. For this reply from receptionist was the hotel owners are different so i cant compare and i have to pay the extra money itseems. Looks like hotel not under ramada rules. Why same hotel has 2 rules.

First of all i do not understand why only reserved 1 adult should stay in there premium king size bed room. Is this room under single room category then makes sense else why ? And to make it worst there is no price difference for 1 adult / 2 adult in there premium category room. This way to stay for 3 days i had to make double booking and lost my first booking money.

Coming to there parking its the worst ever i have seen. Remember go early if you need parking else they will tell you to park somewhere else worst part is no one will be available to you for guiding where to park. If no space in hotel front. Security guys are un reachable always.

These 2 things made me to think its not worth to stay here. Being 5 star hotel respect from reception was very worst. I had stayed in multiple 5 star hotels and this is very first time i faced 1 adult booking issue and paid...

The sheets in our room were filthy when we arrived, and it took two separate requests before we finally received clean, unstained, and unused sheets the next day. The bathrooms are poorly ventilated, leading to significant mildew buildup, and we had to ask staff to unclog a couple of the showers. One shower didn’t have hot water. The property itself is quite dated, despite how it looks in the pictures online, which are definitely misleading. The wi-fi is also super slow.

On the positive side, the service at the reception is good, the breakfast buffet is enjoyable, and the laundry service is excellent. It is very prompt and includes washing and ironing, which was a big plus. They collected it around 9 am, and it was waiting for us when we got back around 6 pm.

I was initially planning to give this place three stars, but the experience on New Year’s Eve completely changed my mind. The hotel hosted a New Year’s party with music so loud that it kept all of us awake through the night. I understand it’s New Year’s, and celebrations are expected, but as a hotel, there should be a balance. Not everyone has tickets to the ‘belly dance’ party or chooses to celebrate new years in that way. The noise was excessive, with music (especially the bass) so loud it made the windows shake throughout our rooms. It felt like there was no consideration for guests who weren’t part of the event and wanted to sleep, which was incredibly disappointing.

To make matters worse, if you have asthma or respiratory sensitivities, beware. The hotel uses intense smoke daily in the lobby and ground floor areas to get rid of mosquitoes. This smoke lingers in the air well into the morning and made walking in and out of the hotel uncomfortable. I would hope there are other ways to keep mosquitoes to a minimum.

Whike there were a few positives, the stay was disappointing due to the poor room conditions, excessive noise, and lack of consideration for all guests. With some updates to the rooms, better housekeeping, and a little more consideration for guests, this hotel has a lot of potential with a great location close to the backwaters. With the Wyndham name, you would expect...
