Pros :- Beds were comfortable The rooms were clean and spacious enough. Areas of improvement: 1.Morning Breakfast had few items , which had turned cold , for example: Pan Cakes and French Toast and sandwiches . Extra set of Elevator access and Room access cards was denied . That's very essential if you have more than one person in a room . The food ordered to room was not upto the mark in terms of both the quantity and quality as versus when you go personally and eat at the restaurant ( Fourth Floor). There is a discount as well given in the restaurant. However, the people managing and serving @ the place don't actually encourage eating there. There is some sort of , OK we will make an exception for you this time attitude. Bar Equinox was very dark and dingy .. the sides given with the drink was not great ( boiled dry green peas , and salad given alongside ) Instead some salted peanuts would have been a better option. Sky lounge is totally in a bad condition.. we avoided after visiting it once . Needs improvement if at all it's to be operating . Some lady called Ms. Lavanya was misleading us with food availablity. She said we are supposed to opt for buffet and she is making an exception to allow us A La Carte. She was always refusing almost any request placed , even other than queries on food options .
Refused even a mouth freshner .
There were three people surrounding our vehicle while we were leaving, they were hoping for tips . This extra money seeking habits should not be encouraged, strict instructions should be given to the staff to do the basic work and move on instead of surrounding the vehicle from all sides and making it obvious for extra money .
People from outside come to visit Chennai and therefore opt for hotels . Hotel should provide mineral water bottles instead of glass bottle with inhouse filter water because people would like to stay safe when they are outside, especially when it comes to water consumption.
Bathroom door was not opening easily in room 921 . It's has some issue and sometimes it's a great effort to open the door easily. The guard of the mall was not allowing access gate to the mall near the hotel . While we saw on several occasions, he allowed others to pass through. But given the possibility of cars and two wheelers passing by in a speed, we also took the longer route to the mall
Suggestion: Provide a inside access to the mall . Through the hotel some access should be made possible for the Regenta guests . It will make sense , because otherwise it's a inconvenience to cross all over the exit and enter the mall despite Regenta being part of the Mall . Appreciation: Ms. Dhivya , a staff was a very kind lady and was cheerful all the time . Greeted us with a smile and was very helpful while taking orders and we would like to give her the credit for making the stay a bit...
Read moreVisited on a weekend. They charge 799 Rs on weekday and 999 Rs on weekend per head but for the lesser cost and more varieties, we have more options in BBQs. Started with a welcome drink, they had mango (which was like tang mango flavour) and cucumber juice (I thought it was Lime juice and took a sip, but for me it was horrible in taste). During weekends they provide 2 starters served to desk and on weekend 3 starters to desk and please note that it can be ordered n number of times doesn't have any limitation. On desk recipes, I got chilli fish, afghan Chicken, Gobi fry and few more veg like panner and aloo.
On soup, they had a veg and non-veg but it doesn't have chicken or mutton. A crab soup and clear soup in veg. Few people might not have seafoods hence I thought one more option will do better.
Chilli fish and gobi fry was really really good, a must try starter. Moving to sides chicken milagu varuval is the only side I can see which tast good but no other go. On continental, they have Mac and cheese, egg with cheese.
On Chinese, just 2 varities of noodles, one is fried and other is regular.
On main course, they had a chicken briyani and rice. Briyani was average and for rice they has a chicken gravy, vathakuzhambu, rasam, poriyal, pappads and curd rice (which I am having it on regular basis in home). Few deserts and salads.
Recommendation: If you want to try limited menus and regular varieties at a premium place and price, then you can prefer the restaurant.
Pros: Good Ambience, tastes good, Not so crowded hence it will be a choice if some one needs to eat and spend time, staff are polite,
Cons: Countable varieties of food, No mutton in the menu, just 1 chicken side and a curry not...
Read moreI recently stayed at Regenta Central RS Chennai OMR and had a pleasant overall experience. From check-in to check-out, the hospitality stood out, making my stay both comfortable and convenient.
The location is ideal for business travelers, especially those with meetings along the OMR corridor. It’s well-connected and easy to access from major IT hubs and offices. Despite being on a busy stretch, the hotel maintains a quiet, calm atmosphere inside.
Rooms were modern, clean, and well-maintained, with all the essential amenities—comfortable beds, crisp linens, a well-stocked minibar, and a clean bathroom. Housekeeping was prompt and did a great job every day. The Wi-Fi speed was reliable, which made working from the room seamless.
The restaurant served a good variety of dishes across cuisines, including some authentic South Indian options. The breakfast buffet was especially noteworthy with its range and freshness. Room service was also timely, and the food arrived warm and well-packed.
The staff at the front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant were courteous, professional, and always ready to help. I had a minor issue with the in-room AC, and the team responded quickly to fix it, which I appreciated.
Facilities like the gym and banquet halls seemed well-equipped and clean, though I didn’t have time to use them personally. There’s ample parking as well.
If I were to suggest an area for improvement, it would be to enhance soundproofing between rooms. I occasionally heard hallway noise.
Overall, a solid 4-star property that delivers on expectations. Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, Regenta Central RS is a reliable choice in Chennai OMR. I would happily consider...
