Kala Residency — Hotel in Tiruvannamalai

First I congratulate everyone , Because if you arrived thiruvannamalai or planning to come thiruvannamalai means your going to experience major shift in your life . May the annamalayar blessings fulfill you and your family ...

Now will come to the Topic . Kala Residency is the lodge which is located near temple . But the distance was around 800m from the temple.

Rooms was not so good . It was looking so congested and the bathroom was also not well maintained . So we complaint about this to receptionist and told that we will see other places and come .

But the receptionist stopped us and say ... 'We have special deluxe rooms ,you will definitely like that . Just see once ' we also agree to his words and visit that deluxe room at the top of the building .

As he said the room was quite good compared to other rooms they have . So we booked that room and stayed here for 2 days .

Highlighted things: -The room was clean -Bathroom also well maintained -Top view was really awesome ,you will see the front portion of annamalayar temple gopura and the entire mountain -Most affordable Price compared to other lodges near temple .

Worst Things: -TV was not working ,but they don't say that prior -Power Cut problem ,No generator . -Don't buy parcel tea or coffee with their service boy . If you give amount for one parcel .He will pour it in a small cup...

Really Bad Experience...We had Booked a Double room in June month during pournami Rates will 3times more during pournami not only this lodge all lodges same condition during these days.Normal Days Double Room Rs1000 during Pournami Rs2500 it seems ppl are ready to provide however the room condition is bad no ventilation in Bathroom R205 Bathroom also not clean ,no soap,no towel, no TV ,no proper service they are interested only in money they just provide the key we should only take the luggage and search for the room. ACTUALLY IN NAME OF GOD they are doing Daylight Robbery when they charge so much atleast provide the service so Guest won't feel Bad..They say CAR PARKING avaliable it's road side parking only..We had called and booked the room Double Room Rs2500 extra Guest Rs300 so I had Transferred Rs3000 however extra Guest didn't come so we asked him charge Rs2500 only he was telling no we cant u had informed 3guest so u have to pay completely when Guest didn't Come so they should charge for Double...

The worst rooms ever lived till now, very worst management. If we go for the room, they will never say the room issues, the ACs won't work, Washrooms are worse. Very very small rooms, the ceiling is not good, holes in the ceiling.

Apart from this residency, I suggest public washrooms available near the temple. This residency will charge 1800/- per ac room and AC won't work. Once the 24 hours are completed, if we tell the management that we are extending to one more day, they will switch off the AC immediately. Management doesn't know how to behave with ladies. My best suggestion is: Near the temple, we will get washrooms only for 30/- per head and the washrooms are very good as our own home. Don't know how OYO suggesting this for customers.
