HOTEL SHREE MAHAKAL PALACE, UJJAIN — Hotel in Ujjain

I had a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience with Shree Mahakal Ujjain Palace Hotel. I booked a room three days in advance, paying ₹500 as an advance. On the day of arrival, I informed the coordinator about our travel plans and emphasized that, as we were traveling by train, there could be a delay of half an hour to an hour. Despite calling twice before boarding the train and again while traveling, my concerns about safety and security, as I was traveling with my wife and mother, were ignored.

The train was supposed to reach at 1:30 PM, but due to a delay, we arrived around 2:30 PM. We tried calling the coordinator close to 10 times, but there was no response. After roaming around for three hours, we finally reached the property. To our shock, the reality was far from the pictures shared.

Here’s a breakdown of the experience:

Location: Poor access to roads, even auto wala couldn't locate the location, places is such that Google map won't be of help, though 700 meters from Mahakal Temple, which was not told while booking. It was told it's hardly 200-300 meters. Service: Unresponsive and unprofessional, the coordinator claimed he was sleeping at night. Hotel Highlights: None. Described as "quiet," but it felt unsafe and unfit for families.

Noteworthy Details: The property is not as advertised.

When I requested a refund, it was denied. The lack of professionalism, disregard for safety, and misleading advertisement of this property are unacceptable. I strongly advise against booking this place, especially if traveling...

The homestay is awesome.

Firstly, I thank Akshay and his whole family for a great hospitality.

The rooms was awesome and having sufficient place my 9 month daughter roam freely in whole place.

3.we stayed three days in mahakal home stay. In those 3 days akshay and his family treated us as there family member my daughter used to play with them when ever we are back to homestay from ujjain mahakal darshan, omkareshwar.

Also Aunty ji makes tasty tea .

At last day they invited us for dinner and Aunty ji has made awesome poha 😋and tea☕ for us .

As we came back from omkareshwar we was late when reached homestay back to all hotels was closed and akshay father tale me on his own bike and helped me to arrange food🍜🍱 at night.

Me, my wife, and daughter felt very happy with them. When evert we visit ujjain will stay here only. Also my daughter mised them for more then 2 days.

Location is also very close to mahakal gate number 4.

10 They provided us chill and filtered water. It's a startup for them but they are doing awesome to serve us the happiness.😄
