Disgusting food. Not even a Single Star
We went there on 18th April to Oudhyana restaurant (as recommended by Restaurant reservation staff). Great and warm welcome by guard at the entrance, but when we entered restaurant no welcome no greeting nothing. We had reserved a table and someone took us to the table which had diff name though but anyways we sat there .. and started looking the menu. We ordered Chaat Papdi, Chicken Kabab, Chicken Biryani, Dal ka shorba, Murg Tariwala, Sheermal, Naans, Paneer sabzi & Dal Makhni
Chaat Papdi - 3rd class, smells like old oil being used or papdi being old. You will find much better at “Any” road side stall
Chicken Kabab - Taste was ok, but it was microwaved for longer time and that made it rubbery..
Chicken Biryani - Again microwaved for long time and chicken pieces were rubbery agin hard to eat .. had a hair as well in Biryani. 😊 What else you could ask for .. They replaced the Biryani with Murg Zaffrani Pulao which tasted better but was again microwaved
Chicken Tariwala - Yukkiest flavour ever i tasted chicken dish. Watery gravy rubbery chicken pieces no taste at all. We literally sent the whole dish as is ..
Paneer and Dal Makhni were comparatively better ..
Never expected such a pathetic food at place like Taj. Sheermal and Naan were hard too as they were microwaved too .. now tell me who microwave rotis? I am surprised if they even cook anything ok they get something from road side and just heat it in microwave and serve and charge thousands…
Ridiculous … never ever gonna...
Read moreI visited this restaurant with great expectations and spend quite a lot of money. I am very unhappy with service and food and will never visit this place again. I caution everyone, don't ruin your special occasion, high prices don't always mean good food and great service !
Pros: Good live music Cons: Long list but will mention few important ones Service: when you spend 16k on a meal you expect a level of service. I am very disappointed here, i was constantly waiting for our water glasses to be filled. When i manage to get hold of server he will come and fill just one glass on the table leaving others empty. My wife's plate had to be replaced as it was not clean. Server did not give enough info on menu items, they gave just 2 menus for a table of 6 adults, how do we discuss what to order? No info on potion sizes, so we had to adjust our order several times, and server was no where to find. Roadside dhabas do better than this in terms of service
Potion sizes are very small Food is ok mostly, but one of my chicken dishes hade overdose of salt, chef probably added salt twice, rookie mistake !!!. That combined with service made me feel like stuck in the middle of ocean with no drinking water left.
Bottom line: don't ruin your special occasion...
Read moreI recently visited Oudhyana, the Awadhi cuisine restaurant at the Taj Group hotel. While the food was exceptional and truly lived up to its reputation, our overall experience was disappointing. Upon arrival, we were initially turned away by the restaurant manager, citing a fully booked restaurant on a Tuesday evening. However, we observed that the restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived at 7:45 PM, and still had several vacant tables when we left 90 minutes later.
The service was subpar, with waiters seemingly inattentive and unresponsive to our requests. Ordering was a challenge, requiring us to raise our voices to get their attention.
A particularly frustrating experience was when we requested a dessert spoon to eat the Shahi Tukda, which took an inexcusable 8-10 minutes to arrive. Despite repeated requests to the waiter and restaurant manager, we were ignored until we raised our voices.
Given the Taj Group's reputation for excellence, this experience fell short of expectations. While the food was outstanding, the service and overall experience require significant...
