This is a small hotel located around 2.5 km from Railway station and around 4 km from Har-ki-pauri.||There are few rooms with good ganges view and we are lucky enough to get one, else my review would have been worse.||Pros :||1. The rooms are small but OK for a small family (2 adults and kid less than 5)||2. The cleanliness of the rooms is acceptable.||3. The AC worked all the time and din't fail.||4. The view of ganges...the place is far from city hum-drum so you really can enjoy a peaceful morning walk or night stroll by the ganges. The place is in a residential locality so I found the surroundings safe.||5. Compared to other hotels, it was cheaper. We went during Ardha Kumbh when general hotel prices are inflated.||Cons :||1. The Map location of the hotel is wrong in booking.com, I got deceived by it. It is much farther (around 4km) from Har-ki-Pauri||2. The phone numbers given are not working.... this is very unprofessional,it may be difficult to locate the hotel.||3. The hotel food is poor. I would never recommend it. You can get much delicious and cheaper meals in Haridwar.||4. Although the hotel claims free Wifi, there was no Wifi available||Some Tips :||a) In order to locate the hotel, ask the auto/tuk-tuk guy for Govindpuri Ghat. ||One more landmark is - this hotel is in front of hotel Jahanvidale (other side of river)||b) From the hotel , you can come to the main road, around 3-5 mins walk and then catch a electric rickshaw or tuk-tuk to popular places. e-rickshaw to Har-ki-pauri will cost you...
Read moreMy two positives about this place are: the lovely view of the ganges from my room (though my brother's view was a wall so I guess its pot luck) and the rooms were clean.||We arrived to find they only one room although we had booked two. The guy on reception then spent a lot of time trying to sort this out but without actually communicating what the problem was with us and spent about 10 minutes ignoring us. They sorted this out fairly quickly but forgot to give me a towel. When I went back to reception to ask for one it took about 10 minutes and 3 different members of staff to understand what I was asking for. I don't expect the staff to understand English well but having to act out drying yourself in front of three men in a lobby isn't ideal. The rooms were absolutely freeeezing at night and there were no heaters available. The hotel is located the other end of town to everything that is going on eg river worship ceremony. The wifi was only offered in the lobby but didn't work. The drain in my brother's room was blocked and smelt horrendous. Not the worst of places but I wouldn't recommend it as there are nicer places to stay for...
Read moreWe stayed here as part of trip to Haridwar. Tour and travels company booked this one for us, otherwise I won't have stayed here at the first place. Dirty sheets with visible dirt marks, dirty side table wasn't even cleaned, insects everywhere, termite infested walls. The rooms were stinking, they were dirty and small as well. In terms of service they were responding well, but you can't have another room, the basic thing room was not good. Ac were not working properly and even geysers were having problems. The room location was good, although. We stayed here for 1 night, I won't recommended anyone to stay at this room, unless or until there is no other option.
Have a safe and happy journey, enjoy your trip and stay...
