HOTEL Le ROI, Haridwar — Hotel in Uttarakhand

Gem of a hotel. We had to catch a train in the early morning hours from Haridwar railway station and chose to stay here for one night. We are very happy with the services and amenities provided at this hotel.

LOCATION Located right next to railway station entry gate. Built on PPP model, the hotel is inside the railway station campus. All you need to do is walk for 2 minutes to reach railway station. Despite the close location, we did not face noise issues. Shoppers will be helped by location next to the market.

CHECK-IN The checkin process was smooth. Our luggage was delivered immediately to the room by porter.

ROOMS Good and spacious. Views available for railway station or the rood across. You can take your pick. Bedding and linen was neat and clean. Slight damp smell was present but the hotel staff immediately put in room freshner sprays on request. Bathroom was neat and clean and reasonably spacious.

FOOD Restaurant located in the hotel itself. 4th floor. Food was excellent in taste with very reasonable prices and good portion sizes. Full marks for food and quick service. Also the restaurant operates 24 hours a day.

AMENITIES Each floor has a water dispenser with hot and cold water. Unlimited coffee and tea were there next to these dispenser on a self service basis. Floors also had steam irons and ironing boards. Dental kit and other amenities available on request.

STAFF AND SERVICE Very courteous staff. Quick service. No unnecessary pestering for tips etc. Professional and helpful staff.

Hotel Re Roi is conveniently located right next to the Haridwar Railway Station, making it an excellent choice for travelers arriving by train. It's also within walking distance of the bus station and just about 2.5 km from Har Ki Pauri, one of the main ghats and temples in Haridwar. The Mansa Devi Temple ropeway is also nearby, and you can easily walk or take a rickshaw to most major attractions. Since the hotel is on the main road connecting the railway station to Har Ki Pauri, rickshaws are readily available.

Room rates are quite nominal, and most basic services are provided. There is a basement parking facility, which is a plus, but the area is unfortunately very dirty and has an unpleasant odor—something the hotel management should address urgently.

The hotel is an older property and does show signs of wear. With some proper maintenance and renovation, it could become a much better option for tourists. One major downside is the noise—being next to both the railway station and a busy road, you can expect frequent sounds of vehicle horns and passing trains.

Housekeeping and service need improvement. Guests often need to follow up multiple times for their requests, which affects the overall experience. Cleanliness, in particular, could be better managed.

On the positive side, each floor has a common area with an iron table and a water dispenser, which is very useful. The in-house restaurant on the 4th floor is good and adds to the convenience of staying here.

We came to Haridwar for our grandfather's barsi and stayed at Le Roi, Haridwar. The location is super convenient, it is right inside the railway station compound, making it really easy to access. Despite being so close to the station, the hotel is quiet and peaceful. Getting to places like Har Ki Pauri and other places was effortless as you can easily get totos & autos.

The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and quite spacious. All the rooms have big windows. Only fault that we could find was that there is no tap inside the shower area.

We also tried the hotel’s restaurant, and the food was fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. The service was quick, and we really enjoyed our meals there. Breakfast also had many options

And the best things about this hotel is it's customer service. It was outstanding. Every single staff member, from reception to restaurant, we interacted with was polite, courteous, and professional. They always had a smile on their face and ready to help attitude. They made us feel like we are staying at somebody's home and not a hotel. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth. Housekeeping was prompt, and the front desk staff was always ready to assist. I would like to specially mention the name of Sudhanshu Mishra from restaurant team for his good service.
