I usually never write reviews, but for this extraordinary place I just feel obliged to do so. I stayed three nights with my friend in the mudhouse and it was a very lovely, quiet abd clean place. The small kitchen in the mudhouse included an induction-heating-plate (!!!) and all needed facilities for cooking. The greenery around the place is very well loked after, the view in to the valley is magnificent and watching the sunset was incomparable:-) The dining area in the main buildung is like sitting in a forest/dschungle-place, the menue had extraordinary fantasy-formed dishes and the crew was doing its best to meet all your wishes (even not on the menue). But the most impressive experience was Mr. Mohan himselft. You will rarely find a "boss" who is so eager in evolving every person around him (especially his employees) to the best of their abilities. He seems to be "primus inter pares" which includes finding solutions to every problem as well as repairing things by himself or showing other how to do. The winning smile, the generous attitude, the evolved thinking-pattern, the caring for even the details, the open-heart-attitude makes Mohan unique and the place subsequently mirrows all that. This three days in Kasar Devi will stay definitily forever in my heart an soul. Unending gratitude for that...
Read moreMohan’s Mud Houses are approximately 10 km from Almora in Uttarakhand. Mud houses are situated in a serene place. I loved the place very much as I wanted to spend a holiday in a quiet place and it is. Mr Mohan is a very nice person. I liked the hospitality and the arrangements done by him. We were among the few first visitors who visited the property after hotels and resorts got permission to open after lockdown. Restaurant was closed and he served us from his home kitchen. Food was awesome. Though there is a kitchen in the mud house too. One can cook their own food also. Room was neat and clean. There is a big open space in front of the room to sit. We enjoyed sitting there and admire the Great Himalayas The view was awesome. There was not AC in the Mud House as the walls are of mud. The room was cool. There were basic utensils in the kitchen. Induction cook top was available for cooking. We prepared two meals also. I liked the muddy walls, lighting was nice. Refrigerator is required in the room to keep the drinks. We loved the home style chicken curry a lot. We ordered the same for next day dinner again. Thanks Mohan ji for your hospitality. Thanks Puran and Deepak for serving us. Both are nice guys. We would be visiting the property soon 😊 AGAIN as we liked...
Read moreDear MOHAN JI, We had a Wonderful Stay at your MOHAN'S MUD HOUSE RESORT in July 2021. My Daughter RADHIKA is a POET and the BEAUTY of your place inspired her to write 4 Poems. The Poem entitled IN HEAVENLY BINSAR is given below. Jennifer Tytler ( Mother of Radhika Tytler) 11.8.2021
IN HEAVENLY BINSAR
I am covered by the blue skies And surrounded by the blue mountains And the trees sway with the winds Flowers of immense beauty Crop up everywhere With colourful butterflies fluttering around Isn't this heaven ? And I recline on my bed Gazing at the beauty out of my window Birds chirp all around Then the sound of silence Gives peace to the ears I sip tea and hear romantic songs Adding beauty to nature I have been transported to heaven And know what Heaven feels like I am in bliss The kindness of nature has made me forget all my delusions And I know this is the get away place to be in When life puts you in a quandary I needed this Because the badgering city life got on my nerves And now I am in the heaven of Binsar To get peace And be my poetic self And be happy with a smile to keep.
COMPOSED By RADHIKA...
