Olive Greens Homestay — Hotel in Uttarakhand

If you're looking for a quick getaway from the mundane routine and are fond of the mountains and natural beauty, you need to be here! Just a 4-5 hour drive from Delhi, you can soak yourself in the lap of nature and forget about everything else. I will try to sum up my observations of my 2 night stay recently (10-Sep-23): Location: This is the best part and so it came to my mind first. Located in Rajpur, it's just off the main road (~ 100 mts) but when you're inside the property you won't realize how close you are the city because you will be surrounded by nature completely. You will see the lush green garden maintained exquisitely by the owner. Further, if you take the room at the terrace ( I stayed there and highly recommend it!), you will see the Mountains on one side and greenery overall. The terrace rights are for the guests staying in this room and you will thoroughly enjoy it. Whether it's the morning tea/coffee/breakfast or your evening sit out with booze, snacks and a decent decibel music, you will love it! There's a well equipped kitchen with each room [I checked each room before choosing the one at the terrace so I know :-)] so it's perfect if you want to cook your meals there. Just take a stroll to reach the main road to buy any groceries that you may need. This location is unique because one direction from the main road outside of this homestay will lead you to you to city life where you can experience some very good eateries, party hangouts at night and the other direction will take you to the serenity of the mountains... ** Rooms: All the rooms are tastefully made and are spick and span and you won't be able to complain about anything. You will feel that the owner has put his/her mind into what all should be placed in the rooms/kitchen for your stay to be very comfortable. For example, I spotted a small pot of cooking oil, tea/coffee sachets, two packets of Maggi, salt, pepper and basic spices in the kitchen apart from a microwave, gas burner and apt amount of utensils needed to cook a simple meal. The Mini Bar fridge size was so much better than the ones you get in 4-5 star hotels. It can actually hold some items and cools well too. There's ample eye for detail in everything they've done.

• Hospitality: May be this should've come first in my review however, it's last but not the least :-) The owners are very sweet and caring. You can talk to Uncle and Aunty almost endlessly and Karan (their son) will help you with the best locations/spots you can visit from there or with anything else that you may need to know about the place. If you're looking for complete privacy, you wouldn't be bothered at all. So, it's an awesome combination. There is a room which has an entry and exit from outside the property and so you won't need to physically speak to the owners if you don't wish to. They also have a small number combination lock outside the rooms that you can access to get your key for the room. There is a very good Chinese restaurant at a walking distance from this homestay that has awesome food (Must try the dimsums!) or you can order from Swiggy/Zomato and a few other apps at your convenience.

Overall, this homestay is highly recommended because it's definitely value for money and you'll love it here. I'm headed back there very soon. Adding some pics that I took during...

Experience🫠❤️ We booked it on our anniversary.After this amazing stay, now whereever we have to travel, we are searching homestays😃😃 The best thing i found here- was the PEACE/ SUKOON🥰 Everything was so perfectly arranged, all mini requirements like rubberbands, safetypins,threadneedle also was provided.Rooms are so beautiful & calm.Window has the best view.Though it was raining, but had a great stay. Cherry on the cake is the awsome park just in front, amazing view, picture spot..Without any 2nd thought,please visit.. Mrs pooja is so cooperative, beautiful personality she is. That's what people search in a host. Also she given us their trees yummy litchis. The swing, oh..it was like, not to get up from there, being on swing n looking at the sky, stars, best experience. Very reasonable, n well maintained & organized 2 rooms n all. Small room was also very cosy n calm. Beautiful maintained garden with lots of flowers, chirping love birds..Nature loving people, must stay.Great location.Rajpur road is our fav spot. And yes again very soon i am planning to visit there.We enjoyed rain too, used kitchen, microwave, toaster all provided. We used MW for heating our food. Most different thing we found from other expensive hotels, all OTT channels were there to watch, really even in much expensive hotels we only get few tv channels to watch. I can write more n more. 😄😄 Thanks olive green for the awsome experience.Will surely visit...

Olive Green Home Stay (Dehradun) is very nice place to stay. With well maintained, neat and clean rooms, surrounded by lush greens, beautiful MDDA park and mountains.

"A Home Away From Home" : Olive Greens have a beautiful garden with full of flowers and greenery. One can enjoy the tea session while sitting in the garden while the children can enjoy there by sitting on the swing and can spend time with cute little birds. Make sure to enjoy the trip by having litchi by plucking from the tree within the garden.

The location is very well connected with city and hills

All the basic required amenities like utensils, fridge are available in Kitchen. AC, Geyser, T.V, Free WiFi, Free Netflix, Parking facility is available. Chemist, Groceries, Vegetables & Fruits etc is available nearby in walking distance. Breakfast can be ordered from Panditji who can provide you with hot parathas Lunch & Dinner have to order online (Service of Zomato is good there)

We had a great stay there for 4 days during our first trip 3 days stay during our second trip and would like to stay there again if going to Dehradun
